Ok, so i've established my t.v. is just a monitor, now what sort of speakers would i be able to use? If i hook the speakers up through my dvd player will I only be able to get sound on dvd? Would I be able to plug a vizio VSB200 High Definition Sound Bar directly into the tv?

Hi.. I bought a used vehicle(2010 Ford F 150) which has a farenheit dvd-36 system I tried to play the dvd and the monitor, wire, remote....everything is working good. but, the only problem is that the

OK....Pull the dvd player out. Look to see if it has speaker wires coming off the back. If not, does it have rca plugs???? (red and white). if so then you are gonna need an amplifier to get sound. If it DOES hve speaker wires, chec to see if they are hooked up to the speakers in the vehicle.

How can i use my acer monitor as a tv i lost my manual

The manual won't help you to much in this regard.
This monitor is a standard type that has both a VGA and DVI input.
Normally what you would use with a personal computer.

If you want to use it as a TV monitor you will have some sort of device that outputs to VGA or DVI.
DVI stands for "Digital Visual Interface" and it's preferable over VGA as it should potentially give you a better image.

This means:
A) A computer. You can build your own media TV and watch internet streamed shows like Hulu, Netfix, use as a DVD player, etc. I recommend this route. No more dependance on Cable companies! You just need internet.
B) Find a DVD, and, or Tuner/Cable/Satellite box that has these outputs.
If you want to use Cable or Satellite, contact your provider company and see if they have a box that will output to either VGA or DVI. Might have a hard time finding one of these, or it might cost more then it's worth.
C) Buy a S-Video input to VGA/DVI output. You can buy these for around $40.
Then you should be able to hook it up to just about any device as most modern TV devices will have an S-Video outputs.

Not hearing sound

Only 2 things i can think of. U have not got your Monitor speakers pugged in. There should be a Output connector (Big blue sided cable) the Power connector (the black one, with one side has 3 holes in one side, and same with the other side. Then a small connector (for the monitor, looks like how you would plug in headphones to a small device. Also make sure the volume's up. Or you've blown your speakers, and will need seperate speakers, or a new monitor.

Center speaker hookup to a MARANTZ mdl 2238

Hi tliguyanadig

You can hook up the speaker "between" left and right outputs. Just connect the center speaker between left +ve and right +ve outputs respectively. It will give a spacial effect that some like and some dont:) Try it and see for yourself. Your marantz amp will handle the load OK. It is rated 38 watts into 8 ohms, but there is not alot of load presented by this sort of setup. Let me know what you think.
