Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
Theres a white line that runs across my screen.when the tv worms up the white line muves up and down untill it gets to the middle of the screen,and then all you see is a black screen w/ a white line.the only salution i could find is to hit the tv on the side.this works breifly but the problum dosnt go away.can u help?

It has a problem in the vertical sweep circuit that puts a nonlinearity
in its output and you see the glitch in the normally gradual sweep as a
line. Since a hit upside the set seems to help, you should just
resolder the whole vertical circuit area (doesn't take long) and see if
that cures it. If not, start replacing the electrolytic
capacitors in that area.
