The scan options are in your computer. You need HP scanning software installed and running and of course you must be connected to your computer.

SOURCE: scanning

Hi old novii, sorry to but in but I had bigmountain on chat.

Hi again Bigmountain, pls download the patch here. If that still does not work uninstall as we have discussed and download/install the new drivers/installers here. So even if your CD is not working, it should still go through with the installation. Please, pls follow installations/on screen instructions.

Hope this be of additional help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: how do I set scan option

Look at this URL: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=57769 for details

The scan options will depend on which version of Vista you are running. Since the Home Premium version is the most common, I'd suggest you look for Windows Photo Gallery or Paint and then under File look for the Import from Scanner or From Scanner (depending on the program).

This will work if your computer is directly connected to the scanner. If you have a router or print server that let you network your All-in-One, you need to look at the specifics for that product.

I hope this helps.

This is either due to a physical error caused by a paper jam, or incorrectly seated ink. To fix:

My ADF Scan does not detect a sheet of paper in feed tray. When I push scan I get a nothing in the ADF. Is there a reset or diagnostic to work with? Scan from platen works fine. Gary

There is a small black lever toward the rear where you place the documents to scan. if it is broken or missing it can't see when you place a paper there to scan. If you can see a rectangular hole in that area with nothing in it, you will have to take apart to find and replace the sensor lever.
