Door will not lock light stays on

Usually this is caused by the door being bent, the hinges being bent, or a worn out door strike/catch not holding the door tightly closed. Lol, got kids?? Mommy's little helpers love to lean on the doors(the ones that open/close vertically). Also, slamming the dryer door can break the little plastic arm attached to the door switch--I see MANY switches with the arms broken in-half or the strikes/catches damaged from slamming. Usually a relatively simple repair to replace the strike/catch.

How do I Close the door on my Bosch WTL 500 dryer

Push it closed.. I guess you mean that the door wont stay closed?? If so, the door latch has probably broken. Either the tongue on the door itself or the latch on the cabinet.

The dryer door won't stay closed on my 90-series electric. Doesn't matter if the dryer is running or not. Have to keep the door closed by propping a weight bar against it. Any suggestions to get this...

There is a door catch made of plastic that holds the pin thats sort of arrow shaped on the door... The plastic catch is located on the front of the panel and can be easily replaced....Call the local repair shop/man to get the part....very cheap part maybe a couple of dollars at most... You should be able to remove the broken one with just a set of pliers and a screw driver...doesn't matter anyways its already broken right!! the new one will push and snap right in....Good Luck

The spring in the clasp has broken so the watch band will not stay closed. How can I fix this problem?

replace clasp is the best option..if clasp has 2 buttons on it these can be a easy fix but they always break again so i would replace clasp section or even all the bracelet for the watch .you will need model and serial numbers of the watch then try manufacture or ebay or a repairer

Door will not stay closed

WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT MACHINE THIS IS I CAN ONLY GUESS, & IM GUESSING ITS THE KIND THAT HAS A POST SHAPED LIKE AN ARROW STICK A SCREWDRIVER (FLATHEAD) IN THE BROAD PART OF THE ARROW TO MAKE IT JUST A LITTLE BIT WIDER THIS SHOULD WORK PROVIDED THE CLASP PART IS NOT BROKEN.

Door won't fully latch, light stays on, dryer won't function

There is typically a small plastic piece that catches the door and keeps it latched. The door has the male side and the frame of the dryer has the female side.

Either the male part on the door has broken off (or bent) or the the female part on the frame has broken. Replace this part and you'll be back in business. It is typically called a door latch and it comes with both the male and female parts.

Here is a picture
of a typical one.

Dryer door won't stay closed

hi,

shut off the breaker- pull the female receptacle clasp out of the front with flat screwdriver and needle nose and squeeze the back of it gently with pliers, replace, if its busted and you get mad, you can buy a standard padlock and latch and install that, that helps in other ways as well, careful to steer clear and watch the inner wall for wires and clearances if your going to retrofit that.
