I was connected to internet and suddenly my laptop turned off

I was connected to internet using a usb device and suddenly my laptop turned off.when i tried to start it again it could not start the windows (vista). It first shows the acer logo and then i can only see a black screen with a cursor on the top left of the screen. if i turn it off , wait for five minutes and start it the laptop works fine. i faced this problem 3 times in three days! i can't understand the reason it shuts down. it's not the battery because i have it removed and i still have the same problem.

The most likely issue is that your computer is overheating and it is turning off as a precaution.

Your processor fan is most likely failing. Try cracking it open and cleaning the fan with canned air. Also, reseat the fan's connector cable.

How do you connect to the internet? Are you going through a wireless router or using a usb device provided by a cellphone provider?

Maybe you need to check your settings on the broadband service since you mentioned it. You could also reinstalled the broadband application if it is not solved.

I have an AT&T internet USB connection for my laptop can i use the same one for my wii and if so how do i go about setting it up

You cannot plug the AT&T internet USB Connection directly into the Wii. The Wii wasn't programmed to support such a device and Nintendo probably will never add support to it. However, you can plug the AT&T Internet USB dongle into your laptop and use Internet Connection Sharing to share the internet connection to the Wii.

Apple USB Ethernet suddenly not functional with mac book air

I've run into a similar problem myself. The problem could be that there is another device in the area using the same frequency and is causing interference. Try changing the frequency on your adapter. If you've recently added a wireless device and you can't change the frequency on your adapter try changing the frequency on the new device or turning it off to test if it's the problem.
It's possible someone else in the area has added a device that's causing the problem look around for new wireless devices or antenna in the area.

Hi there, I just bought a new Asus NJ series, and all of a sudden my wireless dissapeared! I FOUND THE SULOTION, well, I hope it works for you. Look on the left side of your laptop, right at the front left side is a switch/button. I think I accidentally switched it of, but now everything is working fine!

No Connection

Hi Norm,

First, try a different USB device in the USB Ports, to make sure they are not disabled.

Uninstall the DWL-G120 Drivers, in the add/remove programs. Unplug the device. Download and install this program.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html

Click on Options, check each one. Click on all instance of the USB device you want to remove, (Marked Disconnected.), and under File, click on Uninstall Selected devices You can hold the CTRL key to select more than one.
Once they are all cleared, Open My Computer and go to C drive. Delete any folders left over from the DWL-G120.
Reboot, and reinstall the drivers, and plug in the device.
If that don't work, you can try a different USB port for it.
Good Luck!
