Check fuses first, then check horizontal output transistor and low voltage regulators. Let me know what you discover.

My panasonic rear projection tv will not power on and no lights turn on. Any suggestions?

Please plug TV in another power source and turn it ON,
if still does not turn ON, unplug AC wire of TV, take off back cover and follow AC cord f TV that will take you in power supply board, find fuse nearby and check is it blew off? if yes, replace it with same ratings written on it.
Plug TV in AC wall socket and turn ON, if fuse blow again that means power supply section in TV got problem and need qualified tech to find out and replace components or power board.

Hello, i have a panasonic 50" dlp tv and the picture is really dark....i bought the tv back in 2003....any suggestions...

The light engine bulb might be bad or going bad. Check it first. Then check its power source. These are you two most likely problems. I would suggest you having a TV technician perform this task.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

No power to tv

Hello Olsol,

This is an indication of a problem in the power supply. This problem can be in the switching power supply or in the high voltage power supply in either case there is some overcurrent or overvoltage condition which is cuasing the issue. Look for blown fuses and replace them, once this is done power on the set. If this works then great, but if not look at what is happening prior to the fuse blowing. Then using the schematic and a voltmeter attempt to find the shorted or open components by the lack of proper voltage readings. However if you do not have a background in electronics, I would suggest that call a TV repair shop and have this TV repaired.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
