Help: pioneer headunit install into a ford corsair 1990.

I have a pioneer headunit and a ford corsair 1990. I have bought a wiring harness for the pioneer headunit but was unable to get the attachment for the car side. I have tried to wire it myself but cannot work out which wires go to what. I have found continuity between 2 pairs of wires so i assumed they were the speakers, having the wires with the stripe the negative. However, the wires that go to the battery, the ignition and the earth i am unsure which is which. I found a voltage in 2 of them, so i guessed these were the ignition and battery ones. And i found continuity between 1 wire and the fuse terminals in the fusebox. But am unsure where in the wiring the fusebox would be set up: from the earth, from the ignition or from the battery.. Any help?

This is tough, You need to find one that gives continuity through it when the keys are off, and on. These are the positive wires which is your constant, and accessory. The constant is always powered so when the key is turned off, it's purpose of giving power to the stereo for memory(stations, clock, presets) will work. The accessory as we now know only turns on with the key turned. Finally the ground is a negative, and must not touch the previously mentioned wires. Test for continuity against metal, and probe the suspected ground wire for continuity.
Once these wires are correct, splice them together and the radio will turn on. Now you have the painful process of hooking up one speaker wire,(from stereo) and touching the other wire same color to the other wires in your car to make the speaker work, the more you get the faster it goes as you will weed out incorrect wires since you already have some that work. Once you know a set of 2 wires works for a speaker, make sure it is the correct speaker location, as white and gray are front speakers, and the green and purple are rear speakers. This is longer than knowing the colors, but once completed, you can label the wires and have them known for future technicalities.

sorry your car was not on my wiring list, so no info.

What colour wires do i need to use to wire up rear speakers on a pioneer 2000mp headunit

should be listed on the unit itself, however if youre attempting an install there are vehicl specific plug-n-play kits available that cure these headaches with out breaking the bank, and they can be found starting around 10.00 and you dont need to hack up your factory harness to install after market equiptment

I want a great sound system in my van. what do you advice and how much will it cost?

go pioneer, best bang for your buck. you'll prolly wanna buy a headunit, 4 componant speakers, one 10in sub, one 4 channel 500watt amp, sub box, and wiring. pricing depends on how high end you go i recommend:

Headunit: Pioneer, price depends on model, a nice one=120-150, you'll prolly need a dash kit so it'll fit your van, wal-mart like 15$, and also a wiring harness to plug into your factory wires, again wal-mart like 7$

Speakers: depends on the van, buy speakers that are the same size as your factory so changing them'll be easy. Buy pioneer, that'll handle about 60-70 watts RMS. you'll prolly pay about 120 for a pair.

Sub:Pioneer ts-w257d4 60$

Amp: Alpine mrp-f550 210$

Sub Box: Scosche, available at wal-mart, 30$

Wiring Kit: Schosche, Also at wal-mart, 30-35$

Pricing on sub, amp, headunit, and speakers comes from sonicelectronix.com, another good website is onlinecarstereo.com So a grand total for materials is gonna be 775-850 after shipping on online bought stuff.(onlinecarstereo.com has free shipping on orders over 100$)
If you pay for installation then you're prolly lookin another 150-250 bucks. it ain't cheap but your system will sound KICK ***!!!

Installing cd player in truck and nothing works on it

You probably blew a fuse in the back of the radio, or in the fuse box. Check both to be sure. And remember, always disconnect the battery before you do something with the wiring harness.

Chrysler Pacifica Aftermarket Radio Problems

Here is the solution:

Their is a chrysler amplifier some where in your pacifica. In order for your signal to reach the speakers you need to buy a box (from bestbuy install ,or any car stereo install place)that allows the signal to "pass thru"to the speakers.
