Here is a link to the manual: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/XTN_Series_User_Manual_E.pdf

To put the radio in programming mode you hold in the PTT and the MON buttons while turning it on. Continue to hold them in until the initialization noise finishes. Then use the MENU button and the + and - buttons to program. The complete directions are in the user manual linked above.

Best regards.

To see if the problem is with your remote control, go to the receiver and use the channel up/down buttons on the receiver itself. If you can change your channels with the buttons on the receiver, the batteries in your remote control probably need to be changed.

If you can't change channels from the receiver, turn off the receiver. Then unplug it for at least 15 seconds. Plug the receiver back it and turn it on. Again, try changing channels from the receiver itself.

Tune to a channel, and while programming is playing, try tuning to the missing channel by entering the channel number on the remote control keypad to see if channels change. Do not try to select the channel from a channel list, program guide, or favorites list.

If this approach takes you to the correct channel, you need to adjust your favorites list function. Press the "guide" button on your remote. Look for a button on your remote called "fav" or "list." Press it several times and watch for an indication at the top of the guide that you are moving from "all channels" to a particular favorites list.

If you are locked on one channel only, your Channel Lock feature is likely active. Consult your owner's manual to unlock the rest of your channels. See your owner's manual for information on managing favorite channel lists and locking out channels. Enter your password, if necessary.

Xtn series won't transmit through remote microphone

Here are a handful of problems you might be having:

1) Be certain the radio is turned OFF when plugging in an audio device.
2) Be certain the remote mic is plugged all the way in, until you feel a slight click.
3) Your accessory jack could be wobbled or worn from plugging and unplugging chargers/audio devices. If so, the radio would need repair.
4) Your remote mic is not working. Try it on another unit to confirm.
5) Or the remote mic is not the one designed to go with the XTN radio.

Best regards.

Motorola xv2600 has only 2 channels instead of 6. can not reset to default, i.e., 6 channels, will not reset if mager lock on. how to turn off lock ?

Place the radio in programming mode by holding in the PTT and MON while turning the radio on. Press the menu button until you get to the lock indicator. It will have a Y for yes. using your + or - button change this to an N for no. then proceed with pressing the menu button. Continue using the menu button until you get to the CH and change your 2 to a 6. Here is a link to the user guide for more programming details: http://www.123radios.com/manuals/xtnmanual.pdf

I need to fix the frequency to match my other motorola XTN series radio model #XV2600 to my new motorola RDM2070d radio

Here is a link to the CP100 user manual, it is the sister radio2.gif to the XTN, and programs the same way. http://www.thekidshuttle.com/ABC%20Docs/CP100_Manual.pdf
Refer to the bottom of page 20 to get started programming2.gif.

Basically you hold in the PTT and the MON button while turning the radio on. Continue to hold them in until it stops making noise. This puts you in programming mode, and you can use the menu button and the + and - to walk you through reprogramming the radio.

We do not know specifically how your RDM2070d radio is programmed. You would need to know this to program your XTN to match. However, a good educated guess would be to start with Blue dot and Green dot frequencies off of the frequency chart in the user manual listed above. An educated guess on the code setting would be "zero" or "off".

Your radio dealer who supplied the RDM2070d radios to your corporation should be able to tell you the exact frequency and code; or read-out the radio.

No user manual for the RDV2080d

Here is a link to the programming software http://www.radioserviceincorporated.com/files/1935423/uploaded/RDX_Series_CPS_R01-00.zip

And here is a link to the user guide http://www.astracomm.com/media/pdf/RDX_Display.pdf

The RDV2080 VHF with display would be compatible with the XTN series radios which have a model name starting with XV, as in VHF. Typically the RDV2080 ships on the default frequencies found in the XV2600. So if you have not changed your XTN frequencies/PL code they may match out of the box.

On a sidenote: The Motorola CP110 VHF is also compatible. It is an industrial version of the RDX radio. It has a few more channel capability and a replaceable antenna. It looks just like the RDX models, and it is the replacement radio for the CP100 and/or XTN.

All of the above mentioned models are repairable.

Remote only advances by one channel.

The button on the remote next to 0 and below 9 has to be depressed to _ _ before you select any 2 digit channels. I had the same problem and accidently figured it out. Hope it helps. TC
