P5PE-VM with Win7 has no display on PCI video cards-EVGA 2600 or EVGA gt 220. Both cards ran fine with Win XP. What do I need to do?

Hello here is the mainboards homepage:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5PEVM/#download

Are you running 32 or 64 bit system ???

Make sure the video driver supports windows 7, 32 or 64 bit.

The video card can sure run fine on windows xp but not in windows 7 as it is a totaly different system.

The mainboard has a 1 x AGP 8X slot.

So now you maybe has to find a video card that supports windows 7

Try also to download a manual.

Good luck

Installed windows 7 on a dell sx260 with gem 17 lcd cant get display drivers to work?screen all dis colored

Try going to the Dell or Microsoft Websites and loading a new display driver for Windows 7. When I first got Windows 7, both my monitor and printers required new drivers for Windows 7. It seems that Vista and XP drivers for a lot of things don't work on Win 7.

Good Luck

The display is not fit on the monitor help me how to fix it thanks!!! ayanblink@yahoo.com

You need to set your PC video resolution to the native resolution of this monitor, which is 1440x900 @60Hz. Mkae sure to to have correct video card driver installed and may also need the driver for this monitor if the native resolution is not listed.
Resolution adjustment:

New HP desktop goes through Post and starts Win 7 splash screen, then the monitor drops off.

1. Restart the Computer
2. Press F5 or F10 a few seconds after POST (and before Windows tries to load) to access SAFE MODE
3. In SafeMode head straight to Control Panel - System - Device Manager
4. Remove all drivers under Display Adapters
4b. Remove all drivers under Monitors
5. Restart the computer

If u are able to get into windows using generic video drivers, then the problem is resolved. It's time now to reinstall the video drivers for u video card.

Acer x193w on win xp woulnt go above 800x600 resolution

The resolution issue you are describing sounds like a video card driver issue. You must determine what video card or chipset you have and apply the appropriate driver. The Acer x193w monitor is plug and play, it will display whatever the OS sends to it provided it is within it display range and 1440x900 is definitely within that range.

Kaiwah, You never said how old the MB is, but it looks like the onboard video is bad. If it is still under warranty have them fix it. If not go out and get a new board. I have seen yours for about less than $100.00 bucks
