P5PE-VM with Win7 has no display on PCI video cards-EVGA 2600 or EVGA gt 220. Both cards ran fine with Win XP. What do I need to do?

Hello here is the mainboards homepage:

Are you running 32 or 64 bit system ???

Make sure the video driver supports windows 7, 32 or 64 bit.

The video card can sure run fine on windows xp but not in windows 7 as it is a totaly different system.

The mainboard has a 1 x AGP 8X slot.

So now you maybe has to find a video card that supports windows 7

Try also to download a manual.

Good luck

I have a Asus Rampage Formula board w/ 4gig mem, was running a BFG GTX 260 max core nvida card , win XP pro 32 bit sp4. I have had no issues for about 1yr then when the computer would run for a few hrs the...

Mabee the hard drive has failed . try entering bios and see if the hard drive is recognised .If not try turning the computer off unplug it then reconnect the drive data cable and power cable
then re- start the computer and see if it is recognised. some models of older hard drives needed a driver installed during set up -- you usually have to put the driver on a floppy disc and hit the f6 button when prompted by windows set up to install third party drivers . I hope this helps

Update for SiS 2615 Display Adapter to load windows XP pro

The PC Chips MB PCCHIPS SiS746FX M848A V5.0 462 motherboard does not have onboard video, correct? So if you can obtain the make and model of your video card, you can then find the Windows XP drivers online for download. Then you would be able to provide said drivers when the "system asks you to update SiS 2615 Display Adapter driver"

*Another quick fix would be to use a different VGA card, if you have one available?

*Now, I have never been prompted to update display driver before or during a windows installation or update. So that step I would require a little more detail on. I have only been prompted for mass storage drivers (as seen in screenshot).

As soon as Windows xp home began to load....

Hi Obenour,
Two beeps than a short pause than two beeps again repeating means. A memory parity error has occurred in the first 64K of RAM. The RAM IC is probably bad. Best thing to do is download a memory testing bootable software for a floppy disk. This program works out side of windows. It will test you're memory.
You'll need display for this. If you have more than one bank of memory installed, remove all but one. Check your manual & see which DIMM slot the memory should be in as a single DIMM. If you only have one DIMM replace it. Test you're monitor on another system or laptop. (Checking it on another system, verify’s its good).
Monitor display good! Than check video card (If you added an 8x AGP card). Remove & reseat the card. Check again for good display. Still no decent display? Windows will not install file correctly with bad memory. You will not receive clear display on your monitor.

If your drivers are from trusted source just click ok continue when the windows signing for drivers pop up window appear.

Now if you click ok and then the system fails to load and then give you a blue error screen, its caused by either
  1. The hardware or its drivers cause conkflict to the system, because your drivers are not from a source you can trust and they are not in compliance with windows OS features and as a result can not run in a windows OS. So get a fresh copy of the drivers from a trusted source preferably the product manufacturer
  2. The hardware itself is faulty and on installing to XP it causes a conflict in which case you can try the Sound card on a different PC and see if it runs, otherwise you need to replace it.
  3. (Assuming XP has finished loading the OS) Sometimes XP fails to unistall the previous drivers, if this is that case goto the device manager (windows icon >right click > properties >hardware > device manager) select ypur current sound card unistall the driver that is there and then restart your machine and load the new drivers again

XP freezes display just before welcome screen

Kaiwah, You never said how old the MB is, but it looks like the onboard video is bad. If it is still under warranty have them fix it. If not go out and get a new board. I have seen yours for about less than $100.00 bucks
