Crosley washing machine making a clicking noise when I turn it on.. Machine won't do anything ?

(1) The tub bearing is mounted in the middle of the outer tub. The tub bearing helps to keep the inner tub spinning smoothly. Replacing the tub bearing is a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer. If the tub bearing is defective, i recommend replacing both the outer tub and bearing.

Maytag Top Load Washer MVWB850YW making loud noise in spin cycle.

If it's a roaring noise, the tub bearing is probably wearing out. Spin the tub a little with your hand, if you hear a little of the roar, that's it.

Starts to spin and gets off balance

is the unit level right to left front to back ....if not adjust leveling legs and the tighten locking nuts on leveling leggs.... if unit is level either the tub shocks called dampers are worn they connect the tub to the bottom of the washer and allow a gentle ride while spinning ,,, if they dont look worn or broken the you have a rear bearing and spider support problem and that may be little more than you want to spend on part's consist of seperating the inner and outer tub removing spider support on back of inner tub and replacing seal and bearing on rear outer tub very time consuming and many peopleese parts check owners manual on parts and labor on thst replace washer ....check warranty

Washer is 5 years old and making alot of noise during final spin

these frontloads are notorouis for having their rear bearing go out... if machine is all level and service told u the tub is bad then i would probably agree.... most of the newer frontloads had a 5yr parts warranty on the tub.....thet rear bearing is actually built in to the rear outer tub so replacing requires allot of labor as one must teardown unit and remove both drums and seperate and install new parts.... i would check your warranty for ur specific options,,, hope this helps

Trying to seperate tub caseing to replace bearing looks lige glued togeather

Some cases are glued together with silicone mastic to prevent rattling etc and the cases coming apoart when in use. You can use a Stanley Knife to cut the glue and separate the casing. To reasssemble ju can use some more of the same.

Looking for replacement bearings for the outer tub to inner tub on our Maytag FAV6800AWW, S/N 13389034ET. Don't want to replace the whole outer tub assy.

It sounds like you may have to replace the Outer Tub to replace the Outer Tub bearing .....ain't that just peachy.....good job Maytag design team.

If you are the original owner I would press Maytag hard to replace the Outer Tub based on the Outer tub Bearing failure. Their warranty states third thru tenth year Drive Motor, Outer Tub and Sealed Transmission. I’m sure you will need to have a certified Maytag repair service tech certify the failure and fix action required. Why should an Outer Tub bearing replacement cost you $430. Another poor design issue of this machine.

How to replace outer tub front and rear

next step is to reinstall door and panel....
sorry, a bit of sarcasm,, the tub assy is replaced throught the rear of the unit not the fornt.
reomve the entire rear panel and 2 support rails as well. the top springs will need to be removed, and some how support the tub and remove the 4 suspension/shock aborbers, the drain pump aslo needs to be disconnected.the tub then lifts out the back, where you can seperate and reassemble the unit. be sure to mark the position of the silver clampps holding the tubs together, and i dont know why your changing the tub, i would also replace the inner stainless basket as well, (your in that far and if it was for noise issue, not a bad aidea, ahte to put back topgether and find the rear bearing has warped the inner basket support

Maytag neptune front load washer

That unfortunatly is the rear bearing of the unit going (and now seems to) bad. I hate to say it, but you have to replace the WHOLE outer shell (tub assembly) assembly. This is a very, very expensive item (around $300.00 just for part alone, no labor) and out of all the years I have worked on these units, I have never had a customer replace one due to the cost. It usually is the death sentence of the Neptune. Problem is, these bearings are not a seperate peice to replace (which would have made this repair somewhat cheap and practical). Sorry, I guess. I dont have anyone in mind who might have a used one, but its worth a look. Dont know how handy you are, but its a pretty involved job as well. Good Luck!!!!
