Rapid fire, or in your case continuous shooting is found on page 36 in your users manual.

For the macro setting put your mode dial on the small icon that looks like a small flower. Also found on page 24 of your users manual.

Good Luck

Camera won't flash when I try to take picture

hi ya

You may need to turn the flash on via the settings, or there maybe a direct button on the back with a lighting strike logo on - if you have macro on some camera do not flash - or it could be faulty

How do i get the flashed turned on

First, check to make sure you're not in the macro mode. There's a slide switch on the end of the camera, near the SD card slot. Slide the switch away from the flower toward the mountain to take it out of macro mode. The flash won't fire in macro mode.

Then, if the flash still doesn't fire, take a look at the flash mode. Press the up-arrow button to bring up the flash menu. If it's currently set in the lightning-bolt-in-a-circle-with-a-slash-through-it symbol, you've got the flash turned off. Set it to the lightning-bolt-and-"A" for automatic flash or the lightning-bolt for forced flash.

If the flash still doesn't fire, then it's broken.

My camera is on micro mode , How do i take it out and put it on manual flash?

There's a slide switch on the end of the camera, near the USB socket. Slide the switch away from the flower and toward the mountain to take it out of macro mode. The flash will not fire in macro mode.

To change the flash mode, touch the lightning bolt in the function area. Each touch will cycle through the various flash modes. The modes are described on page 13 of the manual.

I just got this lens and it doesn't have the macro switch. It does have an m on it but can't figure out how to set it to macro.

You didn't tell the model of the lens but, if you know it is a macro lens and there is no switch, then you can just focus close and the macro function is automatic. Try it.

Why does my camera say macro mode when i try pitting the flash

There's a slide switch on the left side of the camera, near the USB port. Slide the switch away from the flower icon toward the mountain icon to switch it out of macro mode. The macro mode is for taking pictures of subjects very close to the camera, and the camera won't fire the flash when in macro mode.

I have a Sony W120 and had the same macro problem, tried all the "solutions" mentioned here without result. So I pressed the "Home" button, went to "Settings" (last menu item at right), then "Main Settings", and used the "Initialize" functio. Problem solved !

When i try to turn my flash on it says Macro Mode

You're in macro mode and the flash won't function. Check your manual to find out how to get out of macro mode. Most cameras have a button or a dial with a picture of a flower representing macro mode. Find that and change it.

Red-eye reduction in macro mode

The red-eye reduction feature causes the flash to blink on and off rapidly, then flash normally. This may cause over exposure and subject discomfort in the macro mode.

The Macro function allows you to take close-up pictures. Use the Macro mode when you are 8.4” to 19.2” away from your subject.
