Question about Toshiba Satellite A135 Notebook
I forgot my power on password for my Toshiba Satellite A135-S225 labtop. I usually keep it on all the time, but I unplug it. I don't remember my password.
The power-on password cannot be removed -- this is a "security" feature to prevent a thief from using your lappptop, after stealing it from you.
Find the original sales-receipt, to prove that you are the owner, and telephone Toshiba, and ask them for assistance.

If it is coming up with a little blue box asking for your password right when you turn on the computer then it is possible it is a BIOS password and you didn't set it. This model (Satellite A135) has a known issue about automatically setting a BIOS password. Toshiba knows about this issue and will cover the removal and the update to prevent it from happening again. You can call 1-800-457-7777 and ask for help about it or better yet, look up your closest Authorized Service Provider on support.toshiba.com and they will be able to help you faster generally.
