Question about Sony Ericsson T610

1 Answer

Turn on w/out using the usual switch

My T610 felt down and the on/off switch is broken.
Is there any other mean to switch it on without using this switch (some "magic" keypad combination) ?

Sigh ! When I connect the battery loader, the screen lights on which
means that the CPU runs and so on. I hoped that there could be a mean
to switch to active mode at that time. Too bad !

Impossible to shorten the switch : the printed circuit board is damaged at the switch place.

Power on process in mobile phone always need mechanical switching. There is no other way to power on it and put it in active mode. You have to repair that switch or shorten it for minimum 0.6 seconds to wake up the phone. Is it understable and fixing your problem....Vote FIXYA for that...

Hello, sounds like the units high limit switch is opening and shutting down the burners. When this happens the blower motor and inducer motor will run nonstop....and this is why you probably just felt cool air blowing from the air duct. Usually a dirty filter, blower wheel or weak blower motor can cause the units limit switch to open.

HPdesignjet T610 error code 08:11

The 8 code is a formatter or front panel problem. Try reseating the formatter and its cables. Also reseat the front panel cable.

Basically it means that there is no communication between the front panel and the Main board. Turn the printer off and unplug it from the wall. Reconnect the cord and power up. If it still fails, the formatter or the main board or the front panel will have to be replaced. Get a tech to check it out.

Dryer won't heat. I just replaced the felt seals on the drum, the door switch didn't work but after I unplugged it & reconnected it worked. Could it be the doorswitch? I replaced the high temp switch a...

A tumble dryer that isn't heating up at all needs checking with a continuity test meter. The most common cause is a heating element failure, or t.o.c's going open circuit. It depends on which make and model of tumble dryer you have as to how easy it is to get to the relevant parts. Some tumble dryers have heating elements that are easily accessible by removing the back panel, and can be tested for continuity or checked for obvious breakage. Others though have their heating elements inside, which aren't accessible without stripping the dryer down. Tumble dryer heating elements are always protected by thermal fuses which are usually simple devices with 2 wires connected. They can be tested for continuity with a test meter
If power is getting to the tumble dryer and the socket is definitely OK, then the most common problem with tumble dryers not working is when the door micro switch fails, or the catch on the door that operates the switch either breaks or no longer activates the door switch. Check for broken door catches. There is usually a plastic peg on the door that pushes through a hole in the tumble dryer's casing where the door catch is. Closing the door should operate a simple micro switch. If the plastic peg is broken or bent it might not operate the switch properly

Frigidaire dryer gets clothes caught in between the drum, and body of dryer

Just did this today! The brown marks are the felt that is around the part that suspends the drum. It has probably been making a rubbing noise for awhile? The mechanism that supports the drum and allows it is spin is called a bushing This is no longer balancing the drum properly so it is rubbing against the felt and wearing the felt down. The brown marks are burnt felt rubbing off onto the clothes. Get a new bushing assembly and either a top and or bottom felt replacement kit. Replace all worn felt! The top felt has either two or three plastic gliders on it as well. It has been an all afternoon job for me. A second pair of hands is also helpful so long as you are not married to them! Good luck...(I paid $90.00 for a top felt, bottom felt, and a whole brand new bushing unit.)
