Question about Televison & Video
I have an old console TV. It says LXI behind the door. The screen has a band on top part of it. It is not black, you can see through it. It sometimes makes words or pictures look upside down
The way that you are describing your problem it seem to be vertical foldover. this problem is in your vertical output and feedback circuits.check the vertical output transistor,ic, and yoke coupling capacitor. also check capacitors that could be out in your vertical bias and feed back circuits. an esr will do this in no time. the easiest way that i have found to check capacitors without removing them or even turning the board over is to get some alligator clamps and clamp one end to your esr and the other end to a wire and measure the cap. this way you will be able to read the cap and measure at the same time. also check resistors and transistors using the same method for hard to reach components. please rate my solution if it helped. thank you
