Re: problems installing a new processor

Take proc. out and check if you bent any pins when replacing it. make sure you installed it correctly. some motherboards wont boot if cooling fan is not connected to motherboard. make sure motherboard supports new proc.

This mainboard is not detecting my graphics card. Im using a ASUS EAH5770 CUcore/G/2DI/1GD5 in the PCI slot.

The card should be plugged into the black slot, not the red one (The one closest to the processor socket). If you are getting a picture on your monitor, then your mainboard is detecting the graphics card.

What are core i mainboard of acer?

The i3,5,7 cores use a differnet structure to what your pc has now ie: intel/amd processor.

You will a new motherboard, the i3 CPU and DDRIII memory.
It would be alot easier and cheaper to get a new pc.
You hardware maybe to old for this new layout.... ie: IDE Hard drives instead of SATA, AGP grpahics instead of PCIE...and many other factors.

heres an updated 'Acer' i3 desktop pc. Just under £400. Its a superb pc for the money, only lacking a graphic card. not sure how good the Intel graphics adapter is

Installed a n68s mobo with a amd x2 550 CPU. Every turns o n except VGA mouse and keyboard

You should have a disk that came with the mobo. You will need to install the drivers for all of the onboard devices to function properly. If you have already done this, You will need to access th BIOS Setup utility (usually by pressing the F1 key while booting, although your mobo may use a different key) and make sure that you have all of the devices enabled in the setup. This should solve your troubles!

My Integrated ethernet not recognized by windows 7 after fresh install. I have a Shuttle XPC SN85G4 version 3 Barebone System

Even though your system was built around the AMD 64-bit processor, the componets are still 32-bit hardware. Windows 7 is a 64-bit based os. You can perform a windows update to try to download the latest drivers for your system. Also, visit Shuttle support website for more information about Window 7 drivers.

Worst case scenero, reinstall Windows XP/Vista.

I just installed a Biostar MCP6PB M2 motherboard with a AMD Athlon II X2 processor and 2x DDR2 800 2 gig sticks in my computer I get a blue screen of death unless I boot into safe mode then I only get a...

My first question would be have you re-installed windows or are you using the same hard drive and windows install? If you using the same install, windows does not like having the hardware changed so dramatically and would require a fresh install. Please let me know if this is a fresh install, with the error code from the blue screen if possible.

Comp won't boot after installing new ram. possible motherboard problem?

try emoveing both sticks and blowing into the ram slots then replace 1 stick at a time. if this dose not work try checking all the cables to make sure nothing got knocked out of place when you installed the memory in the first place. (bleeping sounds can mean a lot of diffrent things if the problem carrys on count the bleeps and look on google to see what that number of bleeps means for your motherboard) hope this helps

My shuttle wont boot

If it's a new build, can you give details on processor etc. But if there is no bios, it's normally a memory incompatability problem, or the processor isn't active.

I have put a sempron 3.4 processor in but the system only recognises it as 2ghz ?

Your processor speed is actually correct AMD calculate the clock speeds differently from Pentium type processors, a 3400+ is a 2.0 GHZ processor, see the list below for speeds Sempron 2500+ 1.40 GHz 800 MHz 128 KB 754 Sempron 2600+ 1.60 GHz 800 MHz 128 KB 754 Sempron 2800+ 1.60 GHz 800 MHz 256 KB 754 Sempron 3000+ 1.80GHz 800 MHz 128 KB 754 Sempron 3100+ 1.80 GHz 800 MHz 256 KB 754 Sempron 3300+ 2 GHz 800 MHz 256 KB 754 Sempron 3400+ 2 GHz 800 MHz 256 KB 754 Don't worry too much about the proceesor not being recognised as long as you know it is running at the correct speed.
