Question about LG DVD & Blu-Ray Players
How can I unlock these players to be zone free?
The following hack worked for my player. It works for most LG and Aiwa players too. To hack the player try this:

download this file
Unpack the zip file and burn the folder to a disc.
1. Burn the folder 'RMTM0000' to a CD-R making sure
that the directories stay in order.
2. Insert the disk to your player
3. It loads..... After a few seconds it opens the tray
4. And a Region Select menu will come up.
5. Press "0" on the remote for multi-region. Then
press the pause key.

You and allot of others, unfortunately the region is set by the firmware that may be hard to come by. The working of the dvd requires some code to tell it what to do! The code contains allowable regions- USA only. Your probably stuck! Please rate and be safe..

To return to the factory preset
≥Reset the unit as follows:
1 Press [POWER í/I] on the unit to turn off the unit.
2 Press and hold [;], [POWER í/I] and [< OPEN/CLOSE] on the unit at the
same time for more than 5 seconds until “HELLO” is displayed on the unit.
3 The power will turn on and then turn off.
