How to cut and paste

Move the mouse over text while you hold the left button. This will hightlight the text. After the text is highlighted right click the text. You will see multiple options such as cut, copy, paste, delete, etc. Select copy then go to a text box, and select paste to add the text.

General question

the preferred documentation or medium must be highlighted with the mouse cursor and a left click . hold the button on the mouse down while dragging the mouse across the screen

So now that your email address or text message or whatever you need copy and pasted is highlighted you need to copy it.

copy is achieved by holding down the control key labeled ctrl as well as the c button simultaneously - ctrl + c.

paste is then performed by left clicking with the mouse cursor in the area you would like to paste your selection. and Control + V

My non-tech friend hooked up a new DVD player, but can't get it off Spanish...

You didn't explain why you can't. No manual? You follow the instructions but they don't work?

I'll assume the basic, no manual.

If it's the VCR then do the following...

Turn it on and press the VCR button at the top of the remote.
Then press the SETUP MENU button.
Then highlight SETUP on the screen and select it.
Hightlight LANGUAGE SELECT and follow the instructions in the yellow box to change.

If it is the DVD then do the following...

Turn it on and press DVD at the top of the remote.
Then press the SETUP MENU button.
The big 'A' should be highlighted at the top left of the screen.
Move the highlight to the right to MENU LANGUAGE.
Then move it again to the right to ENGLISH at the top of the list.
SELECT English and press SELECT MENU again.

That should do it.

If you want to edit text, use the type tool to highlight the text. This makes the text active unless you have Rasterized the text. Once Rasterized it is no longer editable.
To delete photos or text on layers, you can drag the layer to the small trash can at the bottom of the layers pallet.

How do I use the erase feature in Nuance's PDF

dsmith30 - I am using v 5 but as far as I recall v 4 is the same:

The erase tool only works on lines you have drawn using the "pencil" tool. It does not erase text in a text box.

To use the tool, choose "Comments, then Draw Tools, then eraser" from the menu. Hold the left mouse button while moving it, and it will erase whatever part of the drawn line(s) it passes over.

Printing pdfs with highlighted text/shaded areas

That just means that you don't have a postscript enabled printer, or possibly you're using a black and white only printer. You might be able to print highlighted items normally on other printers, but will have to remove the highlighting to see the text on the one that you have. Alternatively, if removing the highlights isn't possible, you might try selecting all the text and then pasting that into a new document in a word processor or another similar program. If you do have a color printer, and need to print what you're seeing, you can arrange the document so that it is centered on your screen and then press: "Alt + Print Screen" at the same time. You can then open MS Paint or a similar photo editing program and paste ("Ctrl + V") the screen capture into the program.

Hope this will FixYa!!!

To fix the page layout to

Oomar,

Using Word with VB6, I show how you set the page size to A5:

Sub AutomateWord()
' Declare the variable.
Dim objWD As Word.Application
' Set the variable (runs new instance of Word.)
Set objWD = CreateObject("Word.Application")
' Add a new document.
objWD.Documents.Add
' Add some text.
objWD.Selection.TypeText "This is some text."
'Set Page Size
objWD.ActiveDocument.PageSetup.PaperSize = wdPaperA5
' Save the document.
objWD.ActiveDocument.SaveAs FileName:="mydoc.doc"
' Quit Word.
objWD.Quit
' Clear the variable from memory.
Set objWD = Nothing
End Sub

Hope this helps!
