Hi, recently bought an Oki c710 printer (not the older c7100). I am looking for the engineer access password to reset the 'Replace Drum' message when a drum comes up for its use limit. They probably changed the setting in your operating system. Do you have windows or apple? Beyond that, do you recall if they made this change at the store on the printer itself, or were they tinkering with your PC when they made it monochrome?

The manual, linked below, does not show any such option, but on Page 49 are the instructions on how to reset to factory defaults.

additionally if you get a never version of English Job Accounting Server program, password that is requested is "aaaaaa"

Per the technical manual - Media wrapped around the fuser error. Turn off the power. Replace the fuser....

It is possible to unravel the paper from the fuser.

Check online for a fuser kit for your machine, OKI machines use a fuse installed on the new fusers that reset the count and then burn out. The fuse is Littlefuse #251-062

Procedure:

1. Power ON printer while holding both the "+" and "-" buttons until “OKIUSER” message apear in LCD.
2. Press ""+ or "–" button until “ENGINE DIAG MODE” is displayed
3. Press "ENTER", will be displayed "DIAGNOSTIC MODE XX.XX.XX S-MODE"
4. Press "+" or "–" button until “NV-RAM INITIAL” is displayed
5. Press "ENTER" again
6. Appear "TABLE 1" message
7. Press "ENTER" until "EXECUTING RESET" message appears. "NV-RAM INITIAL" message will BLINK... IT resets TONER, DRUM, FUSER and BELT...
8. Power OFF printer, wait 10 sec, and power ON again

To access Service Mode in C9300:

• Power ON printer with 0, 1, 6, 7 at same time...

Buy a pack of 10 x .062A (1/16A) pico fuse RS part No 738-3062. Switch off printer. Remove the drum and toner together from the drum slot to be reset. Carefully crimp the legs of the fuse around the contact wires on the right side of the drum slot. Make sure fuse legs are making a good connection to the wires and aren't touching the frame. switch on printer and allow it to detect the absence of the drum. Switch off printer and carefully remove the now blown fuse. Re-install the toner and drum assemnbly. Drum life is now reset. see pic:
