Hi, welcome back, its best not to accept the solution until you have solved the problem! If you just post comments the problem will stay with me until we have solved it!

You should have connected to 192.168.1.1 and have a login screen, the User Name should be left blank and the Password is admin (case sensitive).

If you get this far just post a comment and I will back right back.

From your question it seems that you are referring to the connection utility in your system tray. If that is so then it could be that your system is shown there - so, try them all, one should work if not post details of all the profiles.

Switching from phone line to cable and no connection

If you meant switching from DSL to CABLE, I would suggest just giving your router a reset. Here are the procedures for your particular router:
Reset Procedure
Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.

Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.

make sure to setup your wireless security again and make sure to set an admin password on your router after the restart.

Wont connect to internet

Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.
Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.
Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
Step 4 Release the Reset button.
Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.
Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.
Note: Do not recycle power during the reset procedure. The default user name for most Belkin devices is blank and the password is Admin.
When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds.

then:
Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.

Let me know the results.

Lost user name and password for configuration manager

If you forgot your password, you must reset your modem.

Note: This process will change all your settings back to the factory defaults.

To reset the modem:

Step 1 Locate the Reset button on the rear panel of the unit.

Step 3 Release the button and the modem will go through its reboot process.

Step 4 Wait about 30 seconds to access the modem.

After restart the modem you can use default username and password (admin/admin)
