When my phone is in touch screen mode and i try and create a txt message i cant add a contact, i have to open the phone to add the number and send, this has only happened today, any ideas why and how i can fix it?

Open the phone and click the Menu button. Note the center keypad above the numerical keys can click up, down, left and right.
Click the center keypad left until you see the "Messaging" option. Click "New Message."Click "Text Message."
Enter the telephone number of the person (or people) you wish to send

clicking "Add" and then clicking "From Contacts." Select the contacts
you wish to text by clicking "Mark" and then click "Done" when everyone
has been selected.

There isnt an exact way to add a signature at the end of the txt. In order to do so, you have to create a template with your signature, then insert the template at the end of your txt. However, know that it will count towards the 160 character limit. Instruction from the user manual (pg 38-39) below. Hope it helps!
Message templates When you often use the same phrases, you can save the message under template messages. Adding the message as a template
Press Menu > Messaging > Templates.
Press Options > Add New.
Write the frequently used message > Options > Save.
Sending a message with template
Press Menu > Messaging > Templates.
Select the message to send.
Edit the message > Options > Send.
note: You can add a template while writing message. Write a message > Options > Add Template. Choose Text or Multimedia and select the message to add.
my mytouch can received txt msgs but I can't send messages because an icon appears with an envolope with an explanation mark! meaning "txt not sent"... Help how can I solve this problem
if you are new to texting then this phone is good for you as it has the full keyboard
to send a message with the phone, open it so you see the full keyboard
on the screen to the left you will see on the bottom it say "message"
click the button directly beneath it
choose 1. new message
1. txt message
you can now either type the number or add it from contacts (bottom right it says add, click the button underneath and choose from contacts and go through the list until you find someone you want to text. press ok and then press the button on the left under where it says done on the screen)
press the down arrow until you get to the body box and start typing what ever you would like to text
then press the OK button and you are all set... you have sent your first text messagE!!!!
to turn off predictive text go into messages-select- create new -select-message-text message-select then press and hold the * key and you will see in the top right corner it changes from ABC to abc or T9. to send sms messages go to settings -select -application settings-select-message-text message-select-sending options-select- GSM alphabet then maximum then text.

all you do is go onto messaging then creat message then click message then it should go to a white screen with the dotted lines and you can just slide it open write your message click send then type in their number or click contact then find the contact click on it then click send
