This sounds like your lenses is getting dusty. Try buying a lenses cleaning disk and see if that helps. They are usually at local stores for only $10-$15. Here's a few examples.
If it stops working all together, and the lenses cleaning disk doesn't help, then you either have to send it to Microsoft to get it repaired, or get the lenses itself replaced by doing it yourself or a third part company. Hope this helps! -MarcusTurtle
it sound to me like the laser is on the way out, the first sign is intermittant games loading. unfortunatly the next sign is no games loading, the best thing to do is look at this site to determine what dvd drive you have www.llamma.com/xbox360/Xbox_360_DVD_Drive_Comparison.htm then go to ebay and buy a new laser there not very expensive that matches your drive type. if you need help opening the xbox youtube it all the way and the same for the laser replacment. hope this helps
Where did you buy this game? Is it from a reliable source? There's been known fake DS games that don't work. And usually the case is the game shows a message "can not access saved data. please turn of power and re-insert game". This is actually my first time with a case where it can't erase the data. Try contacting the previous owner.
You can't just replace the drive with a working drive on the xbox 360. the drive is married to the mainboard with a special key. If you replacing the drive with a drive that's the same brand/model them you can take the logic board from the old drive and put it in the replacement drive. otherwise you will have to extract the key from your old drive and patch in the new drive. not an easy task.

If you are getting one of the above error messages:
Ensure that you are properly loading a Game Disc.
If your console is placed vertically, the disc label will face to the right.
If your console is placed horizontally, the disc label will face upwards
If you know you are inserting the Game Disc correctly, but are still have the same problem with only one game (or if you only have one game), try cleaning the Game Disc by following the disc cleaning procedures (click here).
If after reading the above information you are still unable to play a game disc, please call 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available
