Re: video folder?

I think there will be no problems if you store your videos in another folder...

How can i get my vedio clips onto my psp i tried getting it by formating my memory stick i tried converters and stuff i tried to make a mp_root folder on my psp and get vedios into it but it was of no use...

  1. First, make sure that the video you have is in mp4 format. You can download converters like xilisoft to convert your video files.
  2. Connect your PSP to your computer, and if you see folders names like these (act, codepage, config, data, dic, font, kd, vsh), it means that you need to configure your PSP settings and proceed to steps 3 and 4. But if you see folders names like (iso, mp_root, music, picture, psp, video), go to step 5.
  3. One way is: Hold down select for 5 seconds, go to USB Device and select Memory Stick. Then Exit.
  4. The other is to completely shutdown the PSP. Hold down the R Trigger while turning it on. Go to Configuration and choose "Memory Stick" for XMB Usb Device. Hit Back and Exit.
  5. Create a folder named "Video" if don't have one yet. Transfer you mp4 videos into that folder. Exit and view your videos on your PSP.

I'm trying to put a video from real player of my computer to my psp, but it doesn't work! What should I do first?

First of you need to convert the video to the proper psp format which I beleive is MPEG-4. next you want to use the usb cable to connect your psp to the computer and open up the psp folder. Inside you should see a folder that says video; if one is not there ake a new folder by right clicking and then press create new folder and name it video. After thats done drag your video that is converted to mpeg4 into the video folder unplug your psp and it should be on there.

Downloaded psp game from torrent to pc. after put it in savedata on psp got the message defect data.why?

when you downloaded the game it should have been in a zip, rar, etc file. meaning it was compressed. first thing after downloading the game you should have uncompressed the file giving you "game name.iso" or "game name.cso" you do not put these into your savedata folder but instead on your iso folder that is located in root of your psp. i.e. (if your psp is connected to your pc) my computer>removable drive (meaning your psp)>iso. simply put its where your music, video, picture folders are located. just create an iso folder there

before i get way ahead of myself let me ask a question
most common mistake is..... do you have a custom firm ware (cfw) installed on your psp or the official firm ware from sony. most people think they can download a game from torrent sites and it'll work. but for it to work you have to have cfw installed. you can check youtube for psp cfw

Hi is there anyway of downloading vids on the psp coz i tried many a time and i when to youtube for help and everything i even downloaded a couple of psp vid sync programs but they did nothing any thoughts...

  1. There should be a folder called "MP_ROOT" on the PSP Memory Stick if you formatted it on your PSP; if not, create one.
  2. There should be a folder called "100MNV01" inside the "MP_ROOT" folder. If not, create one.
put your videos on that folder and you atre good to go.

Remember, only mp4 vids work

Where is the iso folder is located in the memory stick

The ISO Folder should be in your Memory Stick root.

Example: E:ISO

If you don't already have it, you should make it. Remember to name it "ISO" instead of "iso". For the PSP to recognize the folder, it should be in capital letters.
