Hi,

Try to reset the Tomtom.

Turn the unit off and remove the USB lead or the connector with the suction cup on it.
Turn the Tomtom upside down with the rear of it facing you. Look inside the back of the unit where the brass pins are.
Now look very closely in front of the brass pins for a very small hole which will be on the left hand side. Get a paperclip or pin and push it in that hole for 20 seconds.
That will reset the tomtom. Just turn it back on and connect it to your computer.

Hope this helps and good luck.

    Just a quick question.

Power on the TT 910 and then press the Reset Button on the base of the TT. It is a tiny hole with a hidden button. use a rounded object, match end or soft pencil to puch the button. Then reconnect it to the PC and the PC will see the TT. Note that you may have to reload apps and maps depending on the state of the TT.

Reinstall the TT software on the PC, it has been updated recently, and reboot then plug in the TT. Turn on the TT and all should be OK.

Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.

Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Nothing happens when i plug my usb cable into my computer with the tomtom ONE

start tomtom home if it does not start automaticlly when you turn on your tomtom and connect it to your computer..if you dont have tomtom home, you can get it HERE.

if its still not connecting try another usb cable although im not sure in that one disconnects from the home dock on the 910

( i assume your using the home dock because thats the only way a 910 will hook up to a computer)

hold the on button (top left skinny button) for 2 seconds. And if that doesn't work, use a TINY pin to reset the unit.

TOM Tom no charge and will not turn on
leave on charge for two hours, then with the SD card out hold down the reset button at the back of unit for ten seconds and then the 'on' switch for ten seconds.
STEP 1
Connect your TomTom to your
computer True True (``````````` (``````````` 0 95250 95250 clip_image002.gif via USB and open up your Windows Explorer and go to the drive. (It will be listed as TOMTOM (E) or some other drive letter).
Copy the Yellow Folders one by one to your PC. Ideally, save all the folders under a new folder that you name.
You may find that the folder ttntools and gns may not be copied. This is o.k. if they aren't.
STEP 2
Format your Tomtom via MY Computer.
STEP 3
Copy the Yellow Folders from the
backup True True (``````````` (``````````` 0 95250 95250 clip_image002.gif you made in STEP 1 back to the TomTom.
STEP 4
Open TomTom Home
Click on Upate Now.
Install the latest update onto your TomTom.
Once installed, switch your TomTom off, then disconnect if from the PC.
Thats it. From now on, make a full backup using TomTom Home prior to any updates.
Also note, that copying all the files will take some time.
