Question about NorStar T7316E Corded Phone

I cant't transfer calls from 2 of the phones in our office. I had to disconnect them one day from the telephone socket and since then have not been able to transfer from either phone. keep getting pickup not able

    I still can't get it. Each of the buttons has a code no corresponding to each office i.e 221 front office etc. how do i program that in

If the screen is saying pick up not available that means that the button is a pick up button and not a transfer button anymore. That's acomplished by pressing feature *3 then pressing the button marked transfer and the pressing feature 70.

    Programming the remainder of the button is also done by pressing feature *3 the button you want to program and the feature code of that feature. ex. feature *3, button, feature 5 for last number redial

    Internal intercom numbers are programmed by pressing feature *2, the button you wish to program and then the intercom number

There are 3 ways to access your voicemail:
1. Call into the main office and have the receptionist transfer you to your mailbox.
2. Call into the main office and if you hear an Auto Attendant, select #. Then, enter your mailbox number and password.
3. If you know what number your voicemail is tied to, then you just call the number, select #, and then enter your mailbox number and password.

If none of these options work, then whomever programmed it may have turned it off and you may need to contact the tech.

How do I transfer calls to someone else in the office using Norstar T7316 phone?


If your telephone doesn't have a transfer button programmed press feature *3, the button you want the transfer button to be, and enter feature 70. While on the call press the transfer button (or press feature 70) and the extension you want to transfer to.If you want a screened transfer, wait til the extension called answers,and ask if they wish to talk to the caller on the line. if they dont, pick up the caller off hold. if they want to talk to them hang up and they'll recieve the call. If you want to blind transfer, hang up after youpress transfer and dial the extension and they'll get the call without screening.

TalkSwitch 48 disconnects call after transfer


You are using the wrong option for transfer -- the one you are using is a conference which requires the person transferring the call to stay on the line. You need the option which permits a blind transfer or announced transfer. This issue is specifically discussed in the manual.

Call forwarding for NorStar m7310


You have to know how to get into programming, and it depends on the type of telephone lines you have... if you have regular analog lines, on a out bound call transfer there is going to be line degragation. Meaning that the outgoing call is not going to be of the best quality.

Secondly, you have to see how many telephone lines you have, if you have 3 analog trunks, with a call forwarding to a cell phone, you will be using up 2 lines... 1 incoming and 1 outgoing to your cell. This leaves 1 trunk for incoming or outgoing callers.

Call forwarding to outside line


To send a call to another telephone within your system, or to an external
telephone. You may not be able to transfer a call on an external line
to an external telephone, depending on the capabilities of the lines.
1. Make or answer a call.
2. Press the feature button then press 70.
3. Call the person you want to transfer the call to.
4. Stay on the line if you wish to speak to the person first.
5. Press the Release button to complete the transfer.
If an external call is transferred to a busy internal or network
extension, or is not answered after a few rings, the call automatically
rings you back.
