You can recover deleted pictures from camera with asoftech photo recovery which helped me before. You can download trial for free

Please be noted that your phone memory should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

Hi I Have a 2GB Sony MemoryStick PRODuo and when inserted to the camera it said that there was no space available (when there was), so I deleted them from a computer and when took the MemoryStick out and...

Don't be panic. you can try some data recovery software. You can see
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/
It tells the steps how to perform data recovery.

If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in memory card erased permanently.

Those lost pics are still stored on the memory card, it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of the hard drive.

So as long as those photos are not overwritten by new pictures, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try Asoftech Photo Recovery program, which can recover pictures after deeply scanning the memory card to look for lost pics you accidentally deleted or formatted.

First of all, recover lost files from memory card
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect memory card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download best photo recovery software from here

Memory card erased

Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for:

http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/recovering-those-accidentally-lost.html

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one, get one, they're cheap:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_st?keywords=card+reader&rs=172282&page=1&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Acard+reader&sort=price

The reason this occurred is that you likely never formatted the card. The card will work fine in the beginning but eventually will corrupt. AFTER you've recovered the photos, format the card IN YOUR CAMERA to prevent this from happening again (dig out that instruction manual to figure out how). Keep in mind formatting will also totally erase your card, so again only do this after you've recovered the photos.

Recover pics from formatted memory card

The Answer is Yes. Deleting or formatting won't make the data in your memory card erased permanently. These data are just not accessible at the short moment. If you deleted important data in your hard drive, they are not deleted as a matter of fact just the index entry or FAT or NTFS marked the data as free space for new data to save. If you formatted the memory card, you simply rewrited or updated the FAT table or NTFS table which manage all the data storage process.

The best way to retrieve your deleted pics is to use some picture recovery programs. Recommended one is Asoftech Photo Recovery program. Here is the steps you may refer while retrieve your deleted pics from your camera memory card.

1. Download and install this photo recovery program on your computer. http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
2. With your camera memory card inserted, Under "My Computer", note the drive letter assigned to your camera's memory card (usually G: or H:).
3. Start the program and select the drive letter that assigned to the memory, click "Start".
4. Now the scanning process will start automatically to look for the deleted pictures. You will then get a list of all recoverable ones.
5. Select the pictures you want and click "Recover" and you can get back deleted pictures from your camera successfully.

Card Locked

Is this a new problem or has it always been this way? What type of SD cards are you trying to use, SD or SDHC?
As far as recovering the images from the camera's internal memory, unless you have the option to undelete from the camera's menu you have most likely lost them. The only option I'm aware of is if the camera shows up as an external storage device in Windows Explorer when attached to the computer. If it does you may be able to use file recovery software. Recuva is a freeware download you can try.
