Try relocating it to a different power source. like a different room. problem could be small drop in 110 voltage. like when your refrigerator comes on or your air conditioner comes on. they could be on the same 110 line. there is a circuit that senses incoming voltage. if voltage drops too much too quick, the protection circuit shuts tv off. to protect. could be down the street from you. your set is fine

Plasma tv randomly goes black

By the highly technical manner in which you set forth the problem, I can see you are far more electronically savy than am I, BUT just a thought: Is there there any sort of timer setting in the TV menu which may be cutting it on and/or off, and which you have somehow failed to notice? Good luck. . .

Model LG 42 PX3RVA ZC Hi I have a lg plasma, bought in 2005 new. I know it's old.. But was working well until a couple of weeks ago. Picture would flicker initially when turned on, then as tv "warmed...

With no stand by light, you are not getting power.Unplug TV and check fuse on power supply. You will need a meter to look for shorted components and possibly leaky/bulged capacitors that are killing your power supply. flickering could be part of the bad power supply or possibly a problem with YSustain area of your TV

Tv wont turn on, geen light flickjers but goes back to red and does ot turn on, i unplugged tv while it was on by accident.

The main board and or power supply is seeing a problem is shutting down the TV.
The cause for your issue could be the power supply, main board, and or the drive board(s) that drive the plasma screen. Sorry, but to trouble shoot that issue would require some TV tools and knowledge of electronics.
Perhaps the following can help you with a warranty repair.
1. If your TV was purchased from January 1 2008 to today---The TV does have a 1 year warranty on parts/ labor and a 2 year warranty on just the plasma screen.
2. If your TV was purchased before January 1 2008---The TV does have a 2 year warranty on parts/ labor and a 2 year warranty on just the plasma screen.
I hope this information has helped you.
Good Luck.

Hi there got a lg plasma turn on unplug it from the wall now nothing no lights on but still feels warm from the back thanks tony

Make sure that the wall plug it's working, if it is, then use the power botton on the tv, to reset the tv, if you can hear any sound from a channel and no video, then might be an internal short, you will need a technician to trouble shoot this problem.
