I'm having the same scanner failure message and problem. How do you get into the printer to change the bulb? Also, are there 2 bulbs used in the printer or do you just have to purchase 2?

    Thanks

I started out with the "scanner failure" error message every now and than. I ignored it and followed the instructions to turn off and on. Now, it is constant. I tried disconnecting from the computer for copies and that worked for a short time. I cannot copy or scan. I can only print from the computer. My solution.....throw it out the window! I like HP products and have always purchased HP. I think my next printer may not be HP....haven't fully decided yet.

I am having the scan failure message, power off then power on. Nothing seems to work. The scan light is on and I can print from the computer but the pics are all green...not in color (just replace the back and color ink) Is there anything else I can do?

I put new bulbs my printer for the same error message, 2 bulbs with freight cost me $49.00. Now instead of error message after 10 or so minutes, it almost immediate. The tech folks in California says 95% of the time the bulbs fix this issue, but when it does not, it is the "board" at a cost of about $90.00. HP 7110 must have this issue and junk is my opinion at this time. Let me know how you come out.

What will be the reason for canon sensys fax-L 150 coping dark page but faxing and printing is ok.

First things first. Try and print report from the fax. Any kind of report. If it is printing OK, then the next step is to check if:

Your clients receive your faxes OK? If they are dark as well, then your scanner head is at fault.

When you make Copy on your fax and it prints dark it could be simply set with dark settings _or_because of the white calibration strip or roller being soiled or dirty, which acts as the ultimate white reference point for scanner _or_ the Scanner CCD sensor is in paper jam release position (too far away from reading the originals) just pull it back to normal feed position.

Or simply faulty scanner.

I've just replaced the black ink cartridge for my Epson Stylus TX100, ink level is ok as the indicator shows. But i get blank prints for black, other colors are fine. What's wrong with the black ink...

There is nothing wrong with the black ink. Just run the head cleaning for better printing.

1. Go to printer and faxes
2. Right click your printer ( Epson Stylus Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner InkJet)
3. Click printing preferences
4. Click Maintenance Tab
5. Click Head Cleaning
6. Run head cleaning for 5 times then try printing.

I have a HP 7580 printer/fax/scanner which will not print in black even though i have installed a new black ink cartridge

I had this same problem, replaced all ink cartridges and problem still remained. The fix for this is actually to replace the print heads not the cartridges. There is a black/yellow and Magenta/Cyan print head in the printer itself under the scanner on the right hand side. Rpelace as needed.

Printer not printing black installed new cartridges and ink pic on comp shows 3/4 full on each kodak esp 3 bought may 09

Try to do some cleaning cycles. It is normal that the printer will be using some ink starting up ang when you change inks because it is trying to maintain the density of the color on the print heads. Do 3 cleaning cycle. It should be on the maintenance menu of your printer or if it is installed on your computer, you can go to control panel>printers(printers and faxes)>right click on the printer icon then left click on properties. You can look for maintenance tab and use cleaning cycle. After the 3rd cleaning cycle and it still doesnt print black, the print head must be defective and needs service.

Prints photos with yellow horizontal stripes.Hv downloaded HP printing diagnostic utility and no errors were reported. If just using scanner to copy photos, prints fine but copying photos in library p

go into the printer and do a test print. start>printer & faxes>right click on the printer in question>properties>printer preference button> test print ... try the printer's own test print. This is usually caused by a poor print head, low ink, poor cartridge or the need for calibration. Look in the maintenance tab in the printer properties for head cleaner, jet cleaner etc. This also happens with refill ink cartridges.
