Question about JVC KD-AVX40 Car Video Player
I have a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. I am replacing the factory stereo with a JVC KD-AVX40 Car DVD player.Trying to hook up a SWI-PACK adaptor to keep the original steering wheel controls for the radio. Instructions say to look for a white and black wire within the steering column. There are 4 bundles of wires coming out of the steering wheel column. One bundle has a black connector plugged into a unit that has the part # RS NA 295 AF, and is the only bundle I can see that has a black and white wire in it. The other bundles of wires have a white connector, a yellow connector, and another black connector with red disconnect points. Any idea which wire I am looking for?
Also, the new stereo unit I am installing has a dvd player in it. For safety reasons, there is a light green wire on the unit (JVC KD AXV40) that needs to be connected to the emergency brake sensor, so that the dvd player will not operate unless the vehicle brake is engaged. Dodge advises that this sensor is located directly above the emergency brake pedal. There is some type of sensor, yellow in color, with light blue wiring coming out of it. Is this the correct sensor which to hook this wire into?
