Question about Dell Dimension 8300 PC Desktop
A blinking amber light demotes that there is a problem with an installed device like the CD/DVD Rom, sound card etc.
You will need to start troubleshooting and start to remove each removable part until you find out what device is causing the problem. But before you start taking devices out of the computer try this >>>>
Remove the power cord from the back of the tower and remove the side panel to expose the motherboard.
You now need to look for the motherboard battery and remove the battery for 30 minutes.
After the 30 minutes is up put back the battery and the power cord and try to boot the machine up. The battery looks like this >>>
If its blinks then you will have to start removing or just disconnecting the CD/DVD drive, hard drives and any other device that can be taken or disconnected from the motherboard.
