No you don't need to replace the balancer !
Install a scan tool.
Monitor the powertrain control module (PCM) for DTCs with a scan tool. If other DTCs are set, except DTC P0315, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information for the applicable DTC.
Select the crankshaft position variation learn procedure with a scan tool.
The scan tool instructs you to perform the following:
4.1. Accelerate to wide open throttle (WOT).
4.2. Release the throttle when fuel cut-off occurs.
4.3. Observe the fuel cut-off specifications for the applicable engine.
4.4. The engine should not accelerate beyond the calibrated RPM value.
4.5. Release the throttle immediately if the value is exceeded.
4.6. Block the drive wheels.
4.7. Set the parking brake.
4.8. DO NOT apply the brake pedal.
4.9. Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON.
4.10. Apply and hold the brake pedal.
4.11. Start and idle the engine.
4.12. Turn the A/C OFF.
4.13. The vehicle must remain in Park or Neutral.
4.14. The scan tool monitors certain component signals to determine if all the conditions are met to continue with the procedure. The scan tool only displays the condition that inhibits the procedure. The scan tool monitors the following components:
• Crankshaft position (CKP) sensors activity--If there is a CKP sensor condition, refer to the applicable DTC.
• Camshaft position (CMP) signal activity--If there is a CMP signal condition, refer to the applicable DTC.
• Engine coolant temperature (ECT)--If the engine coolant temperature is not warm enough, idle the engine until the engine coolant temperature reaches the correct temperature.
Enable the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure with the scan tool and perform the following:
Important: While the learn procedure is in progress, release the throttle immediately when the engine starts to decelerate. The engine control is returned to the operator and the engine responds to throttle position after the learn procedure is complete.
5.1. Accelerate to WOT.
5.2. Release when fuel cut-off occurs.
5.3. Test in progress.
The scan tool displays Learn Status: Learned this ignition. If the scan tool indicates that DTC P0315 ran and passed, the CKP variation learn procedure is complete. If the scan tool indicates DTC P0315 failed or did not run, refer to DTC P0315. If any other DTCs set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle in Vehicle DTC Information for the applicable DTC.
Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds after the learn procedure is completed successfully.
The CKP system variation learn procedure is also required when the following service procedures have been performed, regardless of whether DTC P0315 is set.

Hey...this code sets after maintaing the throttle body...this error is ABS speed sensor related...its an acceleration or deceleration error code...to clear this code... U need a profesdsional scanner to relearn the sensors...its a process called G-zero initialization...!

It may have been previously learned into a zone. Sometimes, the motion will trip and activate a signal that can be learned into another zone you are trying to program. exit programming, then "tamper" the cover for the circuit board, not the battery access, on the motion, check the "status" light to see if a zone is displaying "tamper". Also check battery orientation in back of motion. When battery is first installed correctly. The light should activate during the first minute.

LEARN MODE CANCELLATION
The TPM system will cancel the learn mode if more then 2 minutes have passed and no sensors have been learned, or if the system has been in learn mode for more than 5 minutes. If the learn mode is canceled before any sensor has been learned, the PDM will remember all current sensor IDs and their locations.

CAUTION: Before proceeding with the steps below, ensure that no other sensor learn procedure is being performed simultaneously, or that tire pressures are not being adjusted on a TPM equipped vehicle within close proximity.

STEP BY STEP:
  1. Turn "ON" the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Apply the parking brake. IMPORTANT: If the learn mode cannot be enabled, ensure the TPM system is enabled in the PDM.
  3. Turn the exterior lamp switch from "OFF" to parking lamps 4 times within 4 seconds. A horn chirp will sound and the low tire pressure light will begin to flash indicating the learn mode has been enabled.
    CAUTION: Over inflating tires may cause personal injury or damage to the tires and wheels. When increasing tire pressure do not exceed the maximum inflation pressure as noted on the tire sidewall.
    IMPORTANT: If a horn chirp does not sound after 35 seconds for any of the 4 sensors, turn the ignition "OFF" to exit the learn mode and repeat the procedure from step 1.
  4. Starting with the left front tire, increase or decrease the pressure for 8-10 seconds, or until a horn chirp sounds. The horn chirp may occur before the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached, or up to 30 seconds after the 8-10 second pressure increase/decrease time period has been reached.
  5. After the horn chirp has sounded, proceed as in step 4 for the next 3 sensors in the following order:

    Right front
    Right rear
    Left rear
  6. After all sensors have been learned, exit the learn mode by turning "OFF" the ignition.
  7. After the learn mode has been exited, adjust all tire pressures to the recommended psi
  8. After adjusting all tire pressures to the recommended psi, run the tire pressure check in the DIC to see that the correct pressure is listed.

Can i get a new ignition switch for my 1999 LS will the sensors be affected?


Yes you can install and new ignition switch in your Blazer, once you have installed the new switch, your going to have to do a PASSLOCK II relearn for the new ignition key's to start the Blazer.
PASSLOCK - Reprogramming Auto Learn

IMPORTANT:

* The Body Control Module (BCM) must be programmed with the proper RPO configurations before performing learn procedures. See BCM Programming/RPO Configuration.
* If replacing the BCM with a GM Service Parts Operations (SPO) replacement part, the module will learn PASSLOCK sensor data code immediately. The existing VCM/PCM however, must learn the new fuel continue password when the BCM is replaced.
* If replacing a VCM/PCM with a GM Service Parts Operations (SPO) replacement part, after programming, these modules will learn the incoming fuel continue password immediately upon receipt of a password message. Once a password message is received, and a password is learned, a learn procedure must be performed to change this password again. A VCM/PCM which has been previously installed in another vehicle will have learned the other vehicle's fuel continue password and will require a learn procedure after programming to learn the current vehicle's password.

CONDITIONS
Use this procedure after replacing:

* Passlock Sensor
* BCM
* VCM
* PCM

30 MINUTE RE-LEARN PROCEDURE

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start).
3. Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF.
4. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds .
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes (the vehicle is now ready to relearn the PASSLOCK Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK). IMPORTANT: The vehicle learns the PASSLOCK Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
6. Start the engine (the vehicle has now learned the PASSLOCK Sensor Data Code and/or password).
7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs if desired (history DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles).

Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Care must be taken when removing the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Use penetrating oil and allow to soak around the CKP
sensor before removing the sensor. Twist the sensor to break the O-ring seals loose. When removing the sensor, pull the sensor straight out of the
engine block at the same angle the sensor was installed. Failure to be careful may result in sensor damage.
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor harness connector at the CKP sensor.
3. Remove the fuel line bracket and retaining bolt.
4. Use penetrating oil and allow to soak around the CKP sensor before removing the sensor.
5. Remove the CKP sensor retaining bolt.
6. Prior to removal of the CKP sensor, rotate the sensor back and forth.
7. Remove the CKP sensor at the same angle at which the CKP sensor was installed.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Inspect the CKP sensor O-ring for wear or damage. If a problem is found, replace the O-ring. Lubricate the new O-ring with engine
oil before installing.
1. Install the CKP sensor at the same angle at which the CKP sensor was removed.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the CKP sensor retaining bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
3. Connect the CKP sensor harness connector.
4. Install the fuel line bracket and retaining bolt.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Perform the CKP System Variation Learn Procedure. See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning

CKP System Variation Learn Procedure
IMPORTANT: For additional diagnostic information, refer to DTC P1336.
1. Install a scan tool.
2. With a scan tool, monitor the powertrain control module for DTCs. If other DTCs are set, except DTC P1336, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code
(DTC) List for the applicable DTC that set.
3. Close the vehicle's hood.
4. With a scan tool, select the crankshaft position variation learn procedure.
5. Observe the fuel cut-off for the engine that you are performing the learn procedure on.
6. The scan tool instructs you to perform the following:
^ Apply the vehicles parking brake.
^ Block the drive wheels.
^ Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON.
^ Apply and hold the brake pedal.
^ Start and idle the engine.
^ Turn OFF the A/C.
^ Place the vehicle's transmission in Park (A/T) or Neutral (M/T).
^ The scan tool monitors certain component signals to determine if all the conditions are met to continue with the procedure. The scan tool only
displays the condition that inhibits the procedure. The scan tool monitors the following components:
- Crankshaft position (CKP) sensors activity - If there is a CKP sensor condition, refer to DTC P0335 or DTC P0336.
- Camshaft position (CMP) sensor activity- If there is a CMP sensor condition, refer to DTC P0341, DTC P0342 or DTC P0343.
- Engine coolant temperature (ECT) - If the engine coolant temperature is not warm enough, idle the engine until the engine coolant
temperature reaches the correct temperature.
7. With the scan tool, enable the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure.
IMPORTANT: While the learn procedure is in progress, release the throttle immediately when the engine starts to decelerate. The engine control is
returned to the operator and the engine responds to throttle position after the learn procedure is complete.
8. Slowly increase the engine speed to the RPM that you observed.
9. Immediately release the throttle when fuel cut-off is reached.
10. The scan tool displays Learn Status: Learned this ignition. If the scan tool does NOT display this message and no additional DTCs set, refer to
Symptoms - Engine Mechanical. If a DTC set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List for the applicable DTC that set.
11. Turn OFF the ignition for 30 seconds after the learn procedure is completed successfully.

Simon XT panel does not want to learn motion sensor


try learming the sensor in by removing the back and actavation the tamper switch of the unit. also make sure that the unit is not already learned into the unit and if all else falil default the panel and start over.
