Question about Car CD Changers
I recently got a 1996 ford explorer that is missing the 5 disc changer. It is located in the arm rest. The bracket that holds the changer is there, and there is an opening in the front of the arm rest where I assume the cd player was? there is a button on the radio panel on the dash for cd, so I dont know if that means the cd changer came w the car or not? HELP I am clueless...Can i buy one that will fit it? Or do i need a new one?
We finally realized that all of the "advisers" on the internet want to charge for their advice, and their advice in this case is univerally that the unit should just be replaced. Ya think?! Could of figured that one out on our own.....what a joke...

The radio requires TWO battery feeds.
One is a permanent battery feeding the code and station memory
The other is the main one via the Ignition Switch

I have had the same problem with my Ford CD player, if you unhook the battery and let the entire system reset itself for approximately 10 min. or so and then rehook the battery and the CD that is stuck will either come out automatically or when you push eject. If you have not let the system off the battery long enough it does not work. Trust me I have had to do this more times than I can count.
