I just want to let everyone know I had the same problem with our mer6872bas oven where the upper oven stopped coming up to temperature 2 years after it was purchased. The lower oven stopped coming up to temperature 4 years after purchase. Both broilers worked. I spent a lot of time researching the problem to find out that the relays were soldered to the control board insufficiently. The solder had melted, dripped down onto a heat shield and all conductivity between the relay and control board was lost. This resulted in only 115v being applied to one side of each lower heating element. There are terminals on the backside of the relays that can be used to re-establish the connection. Both of my lower elements work perfectly now.

Steps to check element. TURN off breaker that feeds oven. Unistall bottom element in question. With a continuity tester see if element has continuity. If it does not then element is bad, replace it and turn on breaker. If it does you need to call a technician because the next step requires voltage testings that can shock you if done improperly..

the upper element only comes on when you broil or clean with selfcleaner. the bottom comes on when you are baking, it sounds like your bottom element is bad.

Beko DVC5622X bottom oven wont heat up

This tutorial will show you how to check your Beko element and how to replace your Beko cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
1.Your Beko oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Beko manual.
2.If your Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
3.When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing. If this helped you why not get me a beer?

My whirlpool electric oven broils but doesnt bake. model rf385pcwn1

Hi
The possibilities are a bad Bake element, a broken wire to the Bake element or a bad control board.
You have to remove the Bake element or to pull the range off the wall to perform the troubleshooting and find out which part is bad.
You have to inspect the wires, then remove the wires from the Bake element and check the element for continuity.
If there is nothing wrong then you have to check for 120VAC between each wire and ground and for 240VAC between the wires while the control calls for Bake. If there is no proper voltage then the control board has to be replaced.

However To remove old element, there are 2 bolts/screws on the back of the oven, attached to the element. There will be a silver bar holding the screws/bolts to the back of the oven.
Remove these screws/bolts with either a screwdriver or pliers by turning to the left.

After unscrewing the bolts, pull element out. It will have the electrical wires attached to it with a clamp on each side. Pull wire clamps up to remove the element.
Remove new element from box. Slide new element clamps up into the wires coming out from the back of your oven. (There will be "legs" to hold the element up from the bottom of the oven. These go on the bottom for support of the element).
Tighten existing screws/bolts onto oven through the holes in silver bracket. Do not tighten too much, just make sure is secured.
Turn electricity breaker on and plug oven into outlet. Turn on to 350 and see if it heats up.

Let us know if you want something more else accept the solution.

Fan assist wont heat oven

the ring element may have blown. if it works ok with the top and bottom elements, (the convection oven) then it is likely the element surrounding the oven fan.
