If you know the name of the program and assuming you have windows xp go to start clcik on control pannel then clcik on add and remove programs, go to the name of the program that keeps poping up and click on remove this program and close out and reboot, if it comes back on you have a virus and need to go to windows and download windows defender to get rid of the bug.

  • Anonymous Nov 13, 2009

go to the microsoft web page and download windows defender it will kill it or go to Malrware bytes and do a scan on the computer there you can also click on start then run and type msconfig go to start ups and look for any programs that you do not know who they are and remove the check boxk, next close and rebot and it will show you that your in specail set up click don't restart now next if you still have it doing it keep checking one box at a time till you get it stopped if you can't get it stopped then go to start control pannel then clcik on automatic scans or sceduled taks and stop all sceduled tasks then reboot and see if it stops. if you can't figure it out you will have to get someone to give you online help to fix it.

How do i scan to my computer

As long as the printer/scanner is hooked up to the computer, you should be able to put the document on the glass face down, close the lid and press the scan button. The HP screen will pop up on the computer screen, don't mess with that, just let the document scan (it should show you the progress) and once it's done, it will ask you if you want to scan something else or be done. If your done, click done and then it will open up the HP window and show you what you scanned. To retrieve the scan, I always go to start, my documents, my scans and look for the current month and year, open that folder and then you have access to the document you just scanned. Hope this helps.

Problem about "services.exe - Application Error" pop-up menu

Hi,

Apparently, you computer has some unexpected software running during the startup. In order to get ride of these software, you could check your register table manualy by regedit or download this software, which will help you to find if there are any suspect software running at the startup.

I can't scan

When scanning documents on my MFC 7420, this is what I do. Place document on th scanner bed and don't press any buttons, leave it whatever mode it is in. Go to the computer and click on start> program files> scansoft paperport> open paperport se. When paperport is open click on the scan icon in the upper left corner. A dialog box on the left hand side will ask what you want to scan a picture or document. Select accordingly and press the scan icon.
A new window will pop up and ask what you want to scan and the size. You can either select pre scan or scan. The computer then will send a scan request to the scanner. When it is done scanning close the second window that popped up and the document that you just scanned will be there with a red box around it. Click on the document and it will open, then you can edit and save as needed.
Happy scanning
