Hi
I am trying to find the model number of my fridge freezer but i can't see it, where should i look

Depends a bit on whether the compressor really is running, or if it's just humming because it's got power on the run coil, but not on the start coil.
Have a careful listen to the compressor. If it's making the trilling or gurgling sounds that go with a working compressor, then your problem is probably one of lost gas. Fixing this is not a do-it-yourself job.
If the compressor sounds like it's stalled, the problem may lie with the starter. Replacements are usually cheap enough for it to be worth fitting a new one just to see if it works.

Thanks for the question When this happens if the evaporator is all frosted up you have a derost problem could be your timer or your defrost thermostat which is located on the coils of the evaporator you can check this with a volt meter these meters are cheap you dont need a very expensive for ahout 20 dollars or the defrost timer one of the two is your problem thanks for the question The appliancedoc

I have looked everywhere where that diagram showed and still couldn't find it. I had a repairman out to change a valve for the water outlet and he couldn't find it either. Mine is an almond pure source side by side that I purchased at Best Buy in 1997. Wouldn't they have an old catalog of some sort?
