SOURCE: Toshiba satellite a105 s4004 cannot boot

if the recovery disk would not run to load the program than your hard drive is probably bad have you been into the machine and seen the hard drive have a look at the front where the wires plug in and there is a slot for jumpers to select the hard drive function make sure its set for master only. most hhard drives will not have a jumper for master setting if there is a jumper make sure its set right .

Hi Bob:

Flip your laptop upside down (use a towel to prevent scraatching)

The panel is about dead center of the bottom of you laptop...there is a single screw...and I think a black label.

Let me know how this works out for you my friend.

SOURCE: freezing up

I think you need to do a power cycle. remove the battery and use tha AC adapter alone. If it boots, then thats good. U can try also booting on safe mode by pressing F8. Then re start the notebook in normal mode. If it wont works then i think u need to reinstall windows as a last resort. U need to use TOSHIBA RECOVERY DISK this time.

Is windows 7 compatable on a toshiba laptop a105-s171

From what I understand, windows 7 requires atleast 1 gb of ram to run properly, judging by your standard system specs you have 512 mb of ram. Unless you have added some ram or plan to add some to your system then no I dont believe you will be able to upgrade and run windows 7 efficiently.

Dics Drive Upgrade for Toshiba Satillate.

As far as i know thats impossible. Your optical diskdrive is made just for those speeds that you have on it. You cant change the manufacture settings and speed it upp, or make it to an dual layer disk.
Buy a new one whit the needs that u want and replace the old one. Its easy done and its not that expensive.

Good luck to you

Toshiba S200 not starting.power LED blinking with beep sound

Please try to take out the battery and power on using the ac adapter alone. If it works, it is okay to put the battery back in. Leave battery in for a few minutes then try to restart using the battery alone. Hope this helps. Thank you.
