I assume that your phone is unlocked and in working order (does it work with any other SIM?). You need to either manually or automatically select the correct network and GSM band for your specific SIM card. The J108 is a GSM Quad band phone: GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, 3G 2100
Nokia 2630 is just a dual band that can work on selected are only. but if this band run on GSM 850/1900 mhz possible this is a US version phone, but if run on GSM 900/1800 most likely Asian part accessible.
hi there, i guess your phone has a different GSM frequency band, this is the frequency band of middle east: GSM-900, GSM-1800 and EGSM/EGSM-900 This is the frequency band of Unite states GSM-850 and GSM-1900 This is why you don't have signals. thanks
7210 Supernova is a tri-band phone working on the 900, 1800 and 1900
MHz bands. In the UK they use 850 and 1900 MHz bands (as opposed to 900
and 1800 in India and pretty much everywhere except North America).
If you can pick up an operator using the 1900 MHz band you'll be fine. If not, you're out of luck.
you want full GSM coverage both in India and in the UK then you need a
quad-band phone. The 7210 Supernova doesn't fit the bill.
Its a tri band phone supporting 850/1800/1900 MHz frequency bands while the Indian operators use 900 or 1800 MHz band. So once its unlocked, the phone will work for an Indian GSM operator using 1800 MHz band and not for those using 900 MHz band.
