Question about HP LaserJet 3200 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

LJ3200: Occasionally a copy is incomplete with the bottom of the page blank. I was unable to duplicate the problem while testing - about 50 copies. Samples provided showed the size of the blank area varies and the cutoff is absolutely sharp; otherwise the quality is excellent. Since the unit is only used for copying I'm at a loss to determine if this is a scan problem or an image formation problem. FWIW, originals are fed one at a time, and failure sometimes would happen running only 1 or 2 copies in a session. Thanks for any input! Ben in Alabama

Unfortunately this is a common HP thing. it seems to happen to all HP printers made in the last 4 years.

I see this all the time, and then the next page is just fine, HP can give no reason why it does this.

These problems occurs when the scanner is unable to take a copy of the image that you are trying to scan. You can go to settings and run a scanner motor test on the scanner.Just check out the results of the scanner motor test.If the scanner motor test results are positive, then please clen the scanner bed with a cotton cloth and then perform a power drain on the printer.
Now in order to perform a power drain you need to keep the printr powered on n unplug the power cable from the back of the printer. And then press the power button down for 30-50 secs n then release it.Then plug in the power cable n turn on the printer. The scaner will respond. But if the scanner motor test results are negative, then the scanner needs to be fixed by a hardware technician

Using a USB drive duplicator to make copies of a USB drive

There are times when you have to make multiple copies of the same information on many USB drives. If you are making a few copies like 2-3 then using the ports on your computer will be good enough to make the duplicates, but when it comes to make more duplicated you will want to get a duplicator.

Duplicators will range from around 1:7 (one USB copies to 7 USBs) all the way up to 1:100. These are perfect for corporations that need to give their employees many files and don't have a lot of time to make the duplicated one at a time.

Using a USB drive duplicator what you do is on the tower (or in the accompanying computer software if it is plugged into the computer) set the display to copy, usually there is an enter button that should take you the menu and arrows to help you move through the menu. When you have copy selected plug in the USB you want to duplicate in the port labeled source. And then plug the blank USB drives in to the other ports. Most systems have a green light that lights up when the drive is plugged in properly. When all the green lights are on and all the USB drives you want to duplicate are plugged in.

Hit the enter button and the device will start to work. On the display you will see a few things happening, it will say things like copying... and initializing, and the green lights will flash. When the finalization process is finished the display will tell you that it is safe to remove the USBs. And that's it you are done! It could take you days to do them by hand or just hours to duplicate hundreds of USBs using a duplicator.

I have a stand alone dvd/cd duplicator at our church having trouble with. Cant copy onto dvd-r's. Master can be dvd-r or dvd-rw and will copy onto dvd-rw. when i try to copy onto dvd-r's, it will run for...

The two common problems, copier doesn't like color of discs etc, and slowing the speed that leave you've already tried. After those the most likely thing is that one of them has heads that are out of alignment. You could try copying cd's as they have coarser and the heads don't have to be as accurate. If that works then it is very likely it's the heads out of alignment. If they won't record on the cds at all it still can be the heads out of alignment too, but this test may help determine which drive is out of alignment.

To Whom It May Concern:

Usually, to make exact duplicates on this device, you load your master disc (whatever you would like to make copies of) into the top drive, and blank disc(s) into the bottom drive and press the ENT button on the duplicator when the display reads "1. Copy". Hope this helps and if you have any more questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact us @ 877-686-8868 for technical support. Thank you for purchasing EZ Dupe products.

I am getting a light duplication on my copies half

The duplication problem can be either the drum or the fuser. Most likely your drum needs to be replaced. If you can measure the distance between the first print and its duplicate I might be able to help more.

thanks adi

Top of page prints OK. Bottom blank

My first guess would be phone line problem. Print out an activity report (if you don't have a users manual you can download it at ) and check to see if you have had any communication errors. If you notice no errors then make 50 test copies. If your test copies look good then I would lean towards a phone line problem. if they come out like you have described then I would start with your toner and drum first, second laser and third main board.

Duplicator freezes at 88%, or 98% when burnign and so discs are incomplete

check the amount of free space you have on your computer,if it too low this might be the cause of the problem, plus you might want to run defrag command
