Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How i do keep my wireless switched on

There should be an option to "automatically connect" when it detects the network. Look for a checkbox.

create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help

click on the tools at the bottom of the drop down list will be internet options in the connections tab tick in the box never dial a connection

below that will be change search defaults click on settings you will see all search providers you
have if dont need any of them you can disable or remove them

Power on the laptop computer and wait for the operating system to boot before proceeding.

Right-click the wireless icon in the lower right corner of the desktop.

From the pop-up menu select "Enable."

This activates the wireless Internet options but it does not turn on the wireless receiver.

Push down on the wireless button or wireless switch on the top of the keyboard.

After a moments time the switch or button lights up, signifying the computer is ready for an Internet connection.

Right-click the wireless icon again.

From the pull-up menu choose to view all available wireless networks in the area.

A window appears with all the networks your computer receives some sort of signal from.

Select the wireless network you want access to, type in the password (if required) and click "Connect." Momentarily the laptop computer connects to the Internet.

you should be able to, it depends on the laptop, the os, the wireless adapter, and the settings .

click start Control Panel - Network Connections - right click on 'Wireless connection'

(or similar) and click 'enable'.

right click on the network in the bottom toolbar select open network sharing center

you should have the options to either connect or disconnect or set up a network connection

this will vary depending on your operating system

hope this helps

My Fujitsu wont stay connected to my wireless internet

Maybe the wireless card in the laptop is no good or not strong enough to receive a good strong signal. Try sitting close to the wireless router and see if it loses connection. Does it connect at all and let you on the internet before it loses the signal? If it does not connect at all I'd say you might have an issue with the password or the type of wireless security protocol type you selected to connect with. For example there are different types of wifi security protocol types: (Ex. wep, wpa, wpa2) .

You would connect a laptop from Canada the same way as one from the US. You want to make sure the wireless card is turned on and check for wireless networks. Once you have found your network select it make sure you type the password correctly.

How to go wireless on laptop

You need three things
1) An Internet service provider. Once you sign up and agree to pay the fee they will provide the internet service.
2) A wireless router. This is a unit that receives your internet service by through a connection to your telephone line. Then it transmits a radio signal (wireless signal) that your laptop can receive.
3) A Wifi card in your laptop or an external USB Wifi Dongle. This is a radio or wireless receiver that picks up the signal from your router.
The router is usually security protected with a keycode. All you need to do is set up your Wifi card or dongle with the same keycode and you will be able to receive the internet wirelessly.
To check to see whether your laptop has a Wifi card already installed, do the following:
Click Start>Programs>Accessories>Communications>Network Connections> and look for "Wireless Network Connection." If you have this, then your computer has a Wifi card installed and ready to go.

On my windows xp it says my internet is working but when i try and open a internet page it says it cannot load, please help

FIRST POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Determine which version of IE you have installed. To do so, click "Help" on the IE toolbar and then click "About Internet Explorer." The version will appear in a dialog box. Go to the Microsoft website and upgrade to IE version 7 if you are using an earlier version. By upgrading, you may be able to resolve your IE problems. Repair damaged files automatically using IE 7's "Reset" feature. Go to the "Tools" menu and click "Internet Options." Click on the "Advanced" tab. Click the "Reset" button. Close all other programs if asked, and then click "Reset" to confirm that you want to reset IE and repair the files. Use XP's System File Checker to resolve IE problems. Click "Start" and then "Run." In the "Open" box, type "sfc /scannow" and click "Go." The System File Checker will scan your computer, finding and repairing damaged or missing files. Restart your computer after the process is finished. Update Windows XP to make sure you have the most recent service pack installed. Go to the Microsoft Windows, check for any available updates and install them. SECOND POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Make sure your computer is not too far away from your wireless router and you have a good signal. By placing your mouse pointer over the wireless connection icon, located in the bottom right corner of your taskbar, you can check to see if your signal strength is good. Anything less than a good signal can cause intermittent connections. SOLUTION: You will need to relocate your wireless router closer to your computer. If you have a 2.4 GHz wireless home phone, take notice if you lose the internet connection when placing or receiving a call. These wireless phones interfere with wireless routers because they both operate on 2.4GHz frequencies. If this happens you need to power down the router and then turn it back on. This will happen occasionally but not all of the time. SOLUTION: (1) upgrade your wireless phone to 5.8GHz, (2) use a corded phone or (3) use a wired internet connection to your router. If steps 1 and 2 did not solve your internet connection, borrow a friend?s laptop with a wireless card and see if their laptop can connect to the internet. Be sure to set your friends wireless connection settings to the same settings that your wireless card is set to. If your friend?s laptop connects to the internet then you may have a bad wireless card. Try reconfiguring your wireless card settings before going out to purchase an external wireless card. If your friend?s laptop can?t connect to the internet, try resetting the router to the factory defaults. Change the settings on the wireless card to the same settings as the factory default on the wireless router. If this works you are back in business. If it does not work for either computer, the wireless portion of your router is bad. SOLUTION: Purchase a new router or use a wired connection to one of your router ports.

Can't connect to internet since purchasing wrt100.

What is your laptop name, model#?
All "wireless" laptops have software that can "scan" for , and "repair" wireless connections. Bottom right corner, do you have a pix [picture] of a monitor ( with what looks like a 'radar' signal coming out ? ) right click mouse and you should see a menu, left mouse click " repair " and follow directions.
that you loose the signal after 3 ft. could suggest that your antenna is not connected right, that the coil ( that makes up the antenna ) is 'opened' or that you did not configure the wireless part of the router.

Router won't log into it's IP address online

It appears to me that you have everything plugged into the desktop PC. This is not the way that it should be done. Plug the cable modem into the wireless router via the Internet/WAN port. Plug your desktop PC into one of the ports numbered 1-4. Now connect to the router via the wireless connection for the router and you should be able to now connect to the internet with your laptop.
If it still does not work, power down everything in this order: Laptop, Desktop, Router, Cable Modem. Bring everthing up in the reverse order (Cable Modem, Router, Desktop, Laptop) waiting for each device to stablize before moving to the next.
Once you get everything working, turn on your wireless security (WPA not WEP) asap to keep your computers and surfing safe, and to keep intruders off your network.
