Vizio M260va,has power and audio but no back lighting. Flashlight test shows that there is an image on the screen just no lighting. have taken apart the unit, no visible signs of failure. not sure what...

Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

When I switch on the Unit the Power Light/Indicator keeps on flashing and nothing happens on the tv. The unit was working perfectly for the first 2 days. What could the problem be?

Tries the unit unplug, replug it back like an hour later for the unit to reboot and restart itself back to the factory setting. The unit should be working now.If the unit still have the same problems, the unit must have to be taken aparts and troubleshoot and fixed it power supply circuitry side of it PCB board.

Ionic Breeze Midi Prof. Plus has red light on and won't work

When you cleaned everything did you also turn the whole unit upside down and gently shake to remove trapped dirt in the bottom of the unit. As for taking this unit apart to clean throughly there is no need. Just use some q-tips with 91% Isopropal alcohol not Rubbing alcohol to get to the small areas. Pay close attention to the small arrow shaped metal contact near the bottom of the unit. Make sure it is wiped clean and everything is completely dry. Plug unit back into power and the red button should turn green.

Sewing machine circuit breaker

Sorry I have not seen that particular model brother here in Australia, however i have worked on and gone through training on similar looking models (training provided by Brother)
First off, whats the supply voltage difference? USA being 110V at the outlet, what does Ireland use? if not +/- 5% you will need a way of converting whats available at the outlet to what your machine wants (this could explain why it went "...bum..." to start with?

Also this machine will not use a breaker, A fuse is a hell of a lot cheaper, so you are looking for a glass tube fuse, likely about 12mm long.
Getting this machine will not be easy for you with out damaging it.
you will need to remove the light cover (one screw at the back typicly), there will be a bunch other screws in the back, and a few in around the bobbin area, and a few that where hidding under the light unit cover. Then while upside down, take the base plate off (if one) and firmly pry the front and back covers apart from the bottom. pressing at the join inside the free arm area to break the seal, the covers will then need to be taken as far apart as much as you can till you think it is about to break. Then hit it apart very firmly with the palm of your hand, you will hear a loud crack as it comes apart, this is normal. And if you missed a screw, you will need to replace the covers as you would have just broken it.

Best leave it to a pro if you value the machine.

You can go to the manufacturers website and download everything you will need. Their tech literature is pretty extensive.

ViewSonic VA720

The VA720 I have has 4 screws from the back: 1 at each bottom corner and 2 in the middle lower at the base. Remove screws and carefully pry the front and back halves apart. They snap together. Usually working the bottom apart first is easiest.
