These can be hard to align even when they are new, but I have found there is an issue with the two grip rollers that are on either edge (grips the left and right margin area) of paper inlet at the front, they both consist of a lower roller and upper that the paper is grip with and timed with, I have found although on first inspection of the black rubber upper roller it looks ok, one can find the rubber has stretched and is not moving in time with the center metal hub that actually does the turning.

So do you follow me , the paper is feed into the front slot it is gripped by a set of rollers either side the rubber get old and stretchers, and it slips whilst the centre metal hub turns, this I guess will be happening to one or both of your feed rollers, I have found that removing the rubber and allowing the hub to do the gripping seems to work fine, although replacement of the "tire" is best. There is a lot of models of these babys and this applies only to some of the older designjets, I not sure for sure if yours is one of these ones that do this but thought I'd best tell you about it in case it can help you fix yours.

I'd missed noticing this for a few calls until one day I spotted it, since then I have seen it on quite a few as the rubber gets old and perishes

Lift blue error

Typically the lift blue lever error comes up if the plotter detects skew when loading paper. If the paper cannot be loaded without skew then either you do not have the roll seated on the holder properly or the roll of paper was not made properly, which I have seen.

Canon ImageClass MF3240 paper jam fix

The Canon ImageClass MF3240 continues to show "paper jam" error even if someone followed all the possible fix to remove the jam. After clearing the paper in all access doors (both front and back), the printer still gives the paper jam error. Also, if you have tried restarting the printer several times to no avail and the red light keeps blinking, here is the fix to what is most probably been causing the paper jam problem of Canon ImageClass MF3240.

1. Turn off the printer and pull out all plugs and power cord that is attached to your printer.

2. Remove the paper tray at the bottom and let the printer lie at its back so that you can see underneath.

3. Get a flashlight and look closely for the sensor located underneath the printer. The sensor is located in a small square hole, just above the small black plastic "lever" (looks like a small hockey paddle) on the left side of the gray rubber roller. Move the lever so that you can freely look closer on the hole.

4. Notice because there could be a tiny paper shred stuck inside and this causes the sensor to detect a paper jam.

5. Get a small tweezer to remove that paper out.

6. Next, let the printer stand normally and return the tray back.

7. Re-plug all cables and start your printer. That's it!

Load paper in canon ir2270

if you print from pc, for example, on letter size paper but you printer is set to A4, it will ask you to load letter size paper, if you are sure this is not the case, then remove the paper cassette an look towards the top close to the feed rollers, you should see a small black lever hanging down, this detects the paper, if it is not there order one, if it is there then clean the sensor attached to it, also make sure your paper motor works and lifts up the paper towards the sensor lever when you close the cassette

Printer is in alarm mode stating a paper jam when there isn't one?????

Even though u cant see a jam there there is exactly a jam inside
U believe it or not thats why paper jam
Look for the paper detection sensor below the carriage
use ur common sense
I cant say exactly it is detect sensor it may be some other sensor related to gear wheel set
but most of the cases paper jam occurs due to malfunction of paper detect sensor
If u find it use a thin tool to see it is working properly
otherwise give it to someone know how to repair & pay a reasonable price

Will not reset Load Paper tray 1

The presence of the paper in the tray is detected by a small lever that, when paper is in there, is lifted and it triggers a small switch. In your case that switch is not triggered, either because the lever is damaged or the switch itself is faulty.
You will have to dismantle the printer to access the tray lever and check it and the switch then replace what is faulty. Parts can be ordered from your local dealer

HP Color LaserJet 8550DN input device failure, check cables and cycle power | error code: 66.01.02

This error message indicates a lifter malfunction has occurred. When the 2000-sheet input tray (Tray 4) is closed, the paper deck lifts the paper stack until it is just below the feed rollers. Photosensor flag PS34, the paper surface photosensor, determines when the paper stack is lifted into the feed position. When PS34 does not detect paper in the expected time, the printer reports a 66 error. SOLUTION: Follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
  1. Turn the printer off, open and close the tray, then turn the printer back on to see if the error clears.
  2. Open the drawer and check for extra paper or items stored on the left side of the tray. This will prevent the tray from lifting due to excess weight or blocking the lift of the tray.
  3. Remove all the paper from the tray. Remove the tray guides and reseat them. Verify the guides are not bent or broken.
  4. Lift the paper deck manually to verify there are no obstructions in the path.
  5. Pull the tray out as far as possible and observe the white bushing on the back right side of the tray. If the white bushing is broken, the tray will not lift properly.

Shows error code CO900

A C0900 is a paper tray problem. Try to check your paper trays and make sure that there is not any paper in the paper tray wrong or doubled up in the paper tray, it may hender the paper tray from liftting in time.
