Try cleaning your dvd lens. It maybe dusty inside that is why it cant no longer read. You can use a cd lens cleaner. Try loading other dvd disc or cd. If it is working then try your dvd disc again. If still your dvd cannot be read then the kind of dvd you insert, the one that cannot be read is not compatible with your dvd or check for any surface scratch.

Try the DVD media in a different DVD-device.
If it reads correctly, then you need to replace your DVD-device.

hi
Carefully reading user manuals help in most of cases :)

Just use Read flash option. After reading complete, SagemEG will show you phone code. If not success, there is another option to get code - sent flash.bin to Support@SagDD.com.
Here is log of reset to default , read eeprom n read flash

Recording Error E 6 28030200 how can I get the information off the DVD or how can I finalize the DVD for our church use

I was able to get data off a disc with a similar problem using Nero Burning Rom's Save Tracks feature. If I save it as an .ISO file I was able to rename the file to have the .VOB extension instead and play it using windows media player. I did run into a problem that Nero would run into a read error near the end of the track, report an error and DELETE THE FILE IT WAS WRITING. In order to get around this, when nero was almost done reading the track, I killed the nero.exe process using the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del). Now I can at least view most of the video.

You cannot edit files *directly* on the CD/DVD. CD-RW and DVD-RW means you can "erase and re-burn" a cd or dvd, and reuse them like they were new.

You CAN however, just copy the files from the CD onto the hard drive and work from there. If you did that, sometimes files that are copied from a CD to the computer get copied with their "Read Only" flag set.

To undo that, in windows explorer, select the offending files that are on your HARD DRIVE, right click and go to Properties.

Uncheck "Read Only"

Click OK.

Now your files should be editable.

Again I emphasize that you cannot edit files directly on the CD or DVD. You can copy them to your computer, edit and change them as you see fit, and then re-burn the cd or dvd.
