I had these speakers for about 2yrs set up for 2yrs also. The problem started couple days ago out of nowhere my volume would go up and down. Now I have the Speaker volume all the way down almost off but sound still comes out of the speakers like music movies what ever is playing. I tried to reinstall the drivers but still no luck

Hi,
First off how long have you owned the speakers and how long have you had the set up in this location. Also how long have you had this problem. And when you say you still hear high noises. What kind of noises do you hear? what you are playing from the speakers or something else? Once I have more information I will be able to assist you further.
Thank you,
lee

    Hi,
This is actually a very common problem with these speakers. This is most likely a problem with the amplifier in the unit itself. It is not really worth it to repair the speakers because of the price of replacements. These units always fail right around 2 years. If you need any assistance in finding new speakers or anything else please let me know.
    Thank you,
    lee

If you are using Sound Blaster, go into "All Programs" and open the "Creative File" and then the "Audio Console", left click the "CMSS 3D" tab, under the "CMSS Modes" click on the selection box and select "CMSS". They should start working at once.

No sound, cenral and rear speakers Dell 5650 speakers

the surround sound speakers connect to the computer by way of three connectors. the system should have come with an adapter that plugs all three connectors into one green connector. if you color match that green connector into the computer you should get sound out of the central and rear speakers. not sure if the surround sound will work correctly for movies, but you should get sound
