Question about Sony CDX-S2010 CD Player

Please Help heyy my name is jimmy, and my CDX-S2010 Cd player is acting up.. I had my brother check my fuses and and my wires, everything seems to be connected... My cd player buttons are not working except for the the button that ejects Cd's.... When ever i try and press source to turn it to radio mode it wont do nothing... all the buttons light up and everything looks good.... but nothing plays but Cd's and i can even control the volume or anything for that as well

Check face plate maybe contact dirty if not well our in trouble sometime it not worth to repair it cheers

I've had my Sony Xplod CDX S2010 Radio/CD player in my Jeep for years and it has all of a sudden locked up on me. The CD player will play and eject CDs, however it doesn't allow me to adjust volume or skip...

i'm not sure if there is a flexible cable that goes from the face to the motherboard. if there is, that could be the problem. it could also be a bad switch.

Typicaly this circuit is fused as it is a power circuit. I would check any inline fuses. If everything is ok and you don't even have power from the radio (before any inline fuses) then i would check all settings, other wise you probably have a blown transistor

Press and hold 'SEL' button. (the setup display appears) Press 'SEL' repeatedly until "CLOCK-ADJ" appears. Press 'DSPL' button. (the hour indication flashes) Pess the volume +/- button to set the hour. Press 'DSPL' button to select minutes, use the volume +/- to set minutes. Press 'SEL' button to start the clock. Press and hold 'SEL' ...setup is complete. To display the clock, press DSPL. Press DSPL again to return to the previous display. Reference page 4 in this link to Sony for your CDX-S2010 Operating Instructions.

How do I replace a fuse on Sony CSX-S2010?

there will be a fuse on the back of the radio, you will need to keys to reove it, also check the fuses in the car fuse box.

did you replace the fuse behind the wireharness if so did you check the fuses in the fuse block on your radio. if so you have checked everything try under the hood of your car there should be another fuse box check in there. if all fuses are good check the ground wire on the radio

Clock and presets always restarting

check if the battery wire from the sony player is connected to 12v even if the car its off.

Hi... your radio has 2 power wires. One is red and the other is yellow. Check for power on both of these wires with the key on. If both have power then you probhably have them switched around!! (one is constant power for memory to "remember" the settings, the other is key on power to that the radio knows the ignition key is on or off. From the sounds of what you are describing it sounds to me like you have your wires switched around...
