Question about Washing Machines
Thanks for using FixYa. F50 means that the RPS (rotor position sensor) detects no motor rotation or the motor is stalled. The motor is stalled first thing to check is that there is nothing stopping the motor in between the tubs under the unit at the stator motor. Also you’ll need to check if the basket spins freely. If the basket spins freely, you could have a wiring failure that would prevent the motor from spinning. A toy or other item underneath the washer could also prevent the basket from spinning and would result in this F50 code. If every thing checks ok the RPS sensor will most likely be at fault. This is located under the unit to the right of the stator motor. This is a common issue with Kenmore Elite, if you have the same then you need to get in touch with the manufacturer as they have come out with a kit for the f-50 f-51 error code. The kit is a new control board, wire harness, and sensor. If it’s a different washer then it is recommended to get in touch with an authorized repair center.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

First you have to find the error code.
So! To recall an error code,
Wake the machine by pressing any button
Wait 5 seconds
Press and hold the Start and Pause Cancel buttons simultaneously
Ail LEDs will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LEDs. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the Start and Pause Cancel buttons are pressed.
A two-second pause between repeats affords you the ability to make accurate counts to identify the correct error codes.
As long as the buttons are held, the failure code will appear in the display as an Efollowed by two numbers, a number and a letter or two letters, please post back with the error code for further assistance.
