Question about Roper RAS8445KQ Top Load Washer
It sounds like the lid switch. You and usually see the lid switch without removing the casing around the rim where the lid closes. If its not there it is under the head. Take the screws holding the head of the machine out, pull the head foward and it will flip up over the machine. To replace the lid switch you will have to remove the casing, or if you want the ghetto version of the fix jumper the two outside wires together. If you do it this way, first make sure power is unplugged, second it will not stop when the the lid is lifted, even if it is in the spin cycle, so if you have kids I don't recommend doing it that way.
