    Yes when I PING YAHOO.COM it worked. I did receive the "Reply from" lines. It stated no data lost. So that means I am on the internet right? Thanks for your help!

    With your laptop connected, let's find out if you can "ping" Yahoo, as a test. 1. [Start] [Run] 2. Type: CMD 3 [Enter] 4. This is the "command prompt" (The Dark Side) 5. At the prompt, type: PING YAHOO.COM 6. [Enter] 7. You should receive 4 "Reply from" lines, or so. 8. If you get those lines, tha means you are on the Internet. Please let us know if PING YAHOO.COM works. 9. Type EXIT and press [Enter] to leave the Dark Side...

You can ping a website to check if there's data flow. if you're using vista just click the Start button and type in command in the start search, then right click the Command Prompt and select "Run as Administrator". in the command prompt just type in this command:

ping www.google.com

if the result is 0% loss then there is dataflow, it might be your firewall blocking the connection or your browser itself is not working properly. you might need to reset the browser if that's the case.

if the result is 100% loss then type in this command:

ping 64.233.189.104

if the result here is 0% loss then it's probably a DNS problem which is quite easy to resolve. you can download and run this application from microsoft:

http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9657448

hope this helps you...

    if that's the case then you can either reset your internet explorer or reinstall it. you can also try a different browser such as mozilla firefox...

    hope this helps... kindly rate... thanks!

I dont have wireless network on my Dell inspiron 6400 laptop . Trouble shooting gives this message: driver not installed. Any solution?

Yes--if the computer is telling you that the wireless driver is not installed, the logical thing to do is install it. Go to support.dell.com and enter your service tag to find the driver for your operating system. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_c2e8482a4d7d4ac6b0bc539f568ce661(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_21a7e17eeb944cf29d4ae628d50dd6e2(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }
