I cannot get the enable blue tooth option to switch on. It used to enable when I took the battery out but now not even that works My phone is a blackberry pearl flip 8220

take it in to the dealer, it is a COMMON problem with the blackberry flips, out of 10 people I know that have this exact phone, 6 of them have had to be returned and sent away for repairs, (which in turn got them a new phone.) That is if you have a warranty. If you don't have warranty, then you have to pay for it to be fixed. It just depends on how bad you want the bluetooth...

Can i use my plantronics 230 bluetooth for my blackberry phone?

Hi, yes you can use plantronics 230 blue tooth for your blackberry phone. All you would need to do is to pair the device with your phone.that will do.

How to pair a phone to a blue tooth device?

Instructions

Pair Your Blackberry with a Blue-tooth Headset

Turn on Blue-tooth headset and Blackberry hand-held.

Enable the Blue-tooth radio by going to the options window and clicking on Blue-tooth. Click on Enable Blue-tooth in that window.

Add your Blue-tooth headset to your Blackberry by clicking on Add Device in the Blue-tooth window.

Find and select the name of your Blue-tooth headset from the list that appears. The Blackberry will search for all Blue-tooth devices within range, so other devices might show up on the list.

Click Activate Blue-tooth device if you receive a call and the Blue-tooth headset does not pick up automatically.

Use your Blue-tooth Headset with your Blackberry

Make sure the Blue-tooth radio on your Blackberry is turned on before you try to use your Blue-tooth headset.

Use the voice-dial feature to call contacts if your headset has that capability. Not all headsets support voice dialing, but more of the newer models do.

Press the on/off button on your headset to end a call or use the end button on the hand held.

Tips & Warnings

Pair your Blackberry with any Blue-tooth-enabled device using the same steps as those for connecting a Blue-tooth headset.

Remove your Blue-tooth headset from the list of paired devices on your Blackberry by selecting and clicking on Delete Device in the Bluetooth window.

Configure your Blackberry to connect to a paired Bluetooth headset without asking for authorization in the Bluetooth Device Properties window. That will allow your headset to automatically reconnect even if you take it out of range temporarily.

Only configure a Bluetooth headset to your Blackberry once. Once you configure the pairing between the two devices, the settings are saved and you do not have to repeat the processes each time you use it.

Turn off the Bluetooth radio on your Blackberry when not in use for security reasons.

Adjust volume on your headset or hand-held to a comfortable level. Excess volume from in-the-ear headsets can cause hearing damage.

Blue tooth is on and partnered but will not send. It say's service unavailable. The sim card-blue tooth has worked in other phones.

Hi,

Restart your smart phone and restart your bluetooth as well. Then reconnect with your device. This should solve the intermittent problem.

Bluetooth has stopped transmitting

Make sure your version of bluetooth for the hand held device and the listening device is not an old version. The first generation of blue tooth was able to transmit sound (for phone calls), but not able to transmit stero sound or mp3.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful... :)
