Question about Washing Machines
Check the pump for drain pump for obstruction. Even when the water has drained below visible level, there could be some left in the tub. It usually happens when a sock gets stuck in the pump letting some of the water through, but not letting it drain completely. When the tub is moving left to right, it is sensing the load in the machine. It will not enter high spin when the tub is too heavy. To check the pump take off the bottom panel, or the pump access cover which is a circular disk in the lower right hand corner. you can unscrew the pump by hand. There will always be a little bit of water in it, so drain it and try the spin only again. If is still doesn't spin, it is probably your motor speed board or the motor itself.

Tips for a great answer:
Hello rylee1966 - From what you are describing, it sounds like the washer agitates, but it will not enter a high speed spin. If that is correct, more than likely there is a door switch failure. I will personally recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately and to assist with the repair(s).
