The mirror and/or sensor is probably dirty. Try cleaning the mirror. If you're not sure how to clean the mirror, it's best to take it to a camera dealer who will do it for a fee. The mirror can scratch if you're not using the right camera cleaning equipment and cloth/lint-free lens tissue. So it's best to pay a trained person to do it for you.

Minolta 5000 Maxxum Auto/Manual, Did it rewind? How do I tell, I am an advanced photog, but this is new. Says 24 with 2 arrows right pointing. Should I darkroom it??? TY

Darkroom is always safest in these situations. Sounds like you don't have a manual - if you google the make and model, followed by the word Manual, you may be able to find one.

How I do fix blurry nite pictures

set the Asa as high as possible, use a tripod or mono pod and don't shoot when people are running. You basically just don't have enough light and your lenses are way too slow. That's why you see those huge lenses on pro photogs cameras at football games - they gather much more light and allow them to shoot at higher shutter speeds that freeze the action. It also depends upon how much light is on the field - they use a lot of light for pro sprorts

Red haze on right side of the screen

It is usally the component board in the back. It is giving out 5 volts less than it should.

I had the same problem with my Samsung and I called them and the guy came out and opened the back on the tv and just simply swapped some a circuit board over .

The haze will also spread as it did on mine the longer you wait .

When taking photos at night I sometimes get a red haze

It's probably because of the artificial light affecting the white balance, causing the images to appear too 'hot'. Ideally, you could post up some photos so we can see (along with the EXIF data).

If you shoot in RAW you can easily adjust when post processing.

Seeing a blue "haze" on presentations, and when on blank screen

On the "Option" menu, try selecting "Service" and the "Factory Reset". This may help. If not, you will have to use the menus to manually adjust the level of blue in the projectin. Go here for the manual for your Hitachi and you will find instructions:

Powershot S1 IS trouble shooting in images of lcd monitor

Try playing back pictures you know were captured properly ( either with another properly working camera or with your camera before the problem with quality has appeared ). If the image is ok in playback but 'noisy' in capture mode then the CCD sensor is faulty /on its way out. Ask Canon if they repair CCD faults on this model free of charge.

My 10d won't focus

At 700 images/week for 52 weeks, you're just about at the point where the shutter could fail pretty soon. I don't think that would affect AF though, and AF doesn't "wear out" with use (other than experiencing the random failures that all electronics do).
