Question about Kodak i1220 Pass-Through Scanner

My scanner is cutting of some of the page. what should I do? My printer is a dell printer.

Depending on the type of software you are using, this could be where the problem lies. test the scanner using the scan validation tool.
Start>All programmes>Kodak>Document Imaging>Scan Validation Tool - use the TWAIN driver.

If the scanner scans fine here, then this is software related and you will need to contact the software manufacturer to resolve the issue.

Bottom page cut off


Hi, can you provide a little more detail as what you mean by bottom page cut off?
Are you saying that the printer is not printing the last part of the page?

I want to use the scanner on my dell 810 how do i do that then?


Hi Scanning is a same process as compared with other scanners, Instruction:- 1. Keep the page in the printer scan area 2. Select the scan option.

Dell a940 AIO makes noise as soon as i turn it on then displays unlock scanner - tried to but will not unlock

• You unlock the scanner bed. For help locating the scanner lock, see the picture of the printer on page iv.

Page 51 contains

Unlock Scanner message
The scanner is locked. To unlock it:
1 Press Power to turn the printer off.
2 Use both hands to lift the printer (scanner unit) until the scanner support
holds it open.
To the left and beside the scanner support is the scanner lock. For help, see
page iv.
3 Pull the scanner lock toward you to unlock the scanner.
4 Using both hands, lift the printer (scanner unit).
5 Push and hold the scanner support back.
6 Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.
7 Press Power to turn the printer back on.

If you get black pages output from copies there is either light getting to the scanner (from an outside source) or the scanner itself is damaged. Most likely the latter issue. You can try puttnig a couple of extra pieces of paper on top of your scanned document before scanning (place the image directly on the glass, throw a few pieces of paper on top, and then close the cover. If the issues are still present there is a hardware failure with the scanner device itself.

Scanner cuts off the top 1/4 inch every time I scan.


This sounds like a setting in your software.  Perhaps making sure that you're scanning the right size paper.  Also, look on the printer to see if there's a setting to choose the right size paper.
